In one embodiment, a mobile communication system () includes a radio access network () and a core network (). The core network () includes a paging control apparatus (). The paging control apparatus () is configured to determine a paging area of a mobile terminal () based on an external network () with which the mobile terminal communicates through the radio access network () and the core network ().
