Abstract

A winch systemcoupled to a processor energy sourcehaving one or more processor driving rollers. The processorprovides energy to the winch system. Multiple driven winch drive rollersare supported by the body. A horizontally-oriented winch drumis attached to the body. A drum gearin communication with the driven rollersand the winch drumtransfers rotational energy about the vertical axis from the processor driving rollersto rotational energy about the axis of rotation of the winch drum. Attached to the winch drum is a cablehaving a proximal endregion and a distal end region that is detachably attachable to an objectto be retrieved by the winch system.
