Abstract
A lithium battery including a positive electrode, a negative electrode containing lithium, and a non-aqueous electrolyte having lithium ion conductivity. The positive electrode includes at least one of a manganese oxide and a fluorinated graphite. A powdery or fibrous carbon material adheres to at least part of a surface of the negative electrode, the surface facing the positive electrode. The non-aqueous electrolyte includes a non-aqueous solvent, a solute, and an additive. The solute includes LiClO, and the additive is LiBF. The ratio of LiBFis, for example, 1 to 100 parts by mass, relative to 100 parts by mass of the solute.
