Abstract

An air conditioning apparatus for a vehicle includes a refrigerant heaterthat is provided between an internal evaporatorand a suction side of an electric compressorto be in parallel with an external evaporator, and heats a refrigerant which is suctioned into the electric compressor; and an air conditioning control apparatusthat determines whether the external evaporatoris frosted. While the air conditioning apparatus for a vehicle operates in a heating mode, when the air conditioning control apparatusdetermines that the external evaporatoris frosted, a supply of the refrigerant subject to the heat exchange in an internal condenserto the external evaporatoris stopped, and the refrigerant is supplied to the refrigerant heater, is heated and then, is suctioned into the electric compressor
