Abstract

A tire made of rubbery material comprising a sidewall and a pattern formed on this sidewall. This pattern comprises a plurality of openings and intermediate zones separating these openings. In order for the pattern to contrast with the sidewall, the openings occupy at least 60% of the pattern, these openings being distributed through the pattern at a density at least equal to five openings per square millimeter (mm), these openings having equivalent diameters of between 0.03 mm and 0.5 mm. A mold element for making the openings and and method of making the pattern using a laser.
