A compound represented by formula (3): (wherein Rrepresents a C1-C6 alkyl group optionally having one or more halogen atoms, Rrepresents a C1-C6 alkyl group, and m represents an integer of 0 to 3)can be produced by reacting a C1-C6 alkanesulfinic acid salt optionally having one or more halogen atoms with a compound represented by formula (2): (wherein Rand m are as defined above)in the presence of a protonic acid.
