A vehicle departure support system and method are provided. The vehicle departure support system supporting departure of a vehicle parked in a parking space, includes a speed measurement unit installed in the vehicle and configured to measure a speed of the vehicle, and a vehicle departure support device configured to display a vehicle departure mode on a screen installed in the vehicle based on whether there is movement of the vehicle in the parking space and a parking mode when the vehicle is parked in the parking space.
