Abstract

The present invention provides an organic electroluminescent element which includes a first light emitting unit () that is positioned on the side of a cathode () and includes a first light emitting layer (A), a second light emitting unit () that is adjacent to the first light emitting unit () with sandwiching a first charge generating layer (A) and includes a second light emitting layer (B), and a third light emitting unit () that is adjacent to the second light emitting unit () with sandwiching a second charge generating layer (B) and includes a third light emitting layer (C), and in which differences of the total thickness of the first light emitting unit () and the total thickness of the third light emitting unit () with the total thickness of the second light emitting unit () are 30 nm to 70 nm.
