Abstract
There is provided a light bulb () which comprises: a cap () for mechanically and electrically connecting the light bulb () to a lamp socket; a light-transmissive envelope (); a stem () arranged inside the envelope (), the stem () including a base portion () proximal to the cap (); and at least one carrier () and one or more solid-state lighting devices () mounted on the at least one carrier () inside the envelope (). The at least one carrier () is supported by the base portion () of the stem (). There is also provided a method for producing a light bulb ().
