Abstract
Liquid dispensing tapconnectable to a liquid container, e.g. a bag in box, for controlled dispensing of a liquid therefrom. The tap comprises a housingforming an inlet of the tap and comprising a dispensing chamber wall portiondelimiting a dispensing chamberwith a valve seatat an axial end and forming a lateral dispensing outletin communication with the dispensing chamber. The tapcomprises a plungerwith a stemand a valve portion, the stem having an actuator engagement portionoutside said dispensing chamber and extending along an axisthrough a borein the dispensing chamber wall portion and through the dispensing chamber. The plunger moves axially between a closed and an open position. A manually operable plunger actuatorengages said engagement portion of the stem to open the tap.
