Abstract
An additive manufacturing system includes an additive manufacturing apparatus and a modeling-data providing apparatus. The modeling-data providing apparatus includes: a dividing unit configured to divide modeling data into n packets of transmission data; and a data transmitting unit configured to transmit the n packets of the transmission data to the additive manufacturing apparatus in series. The data transmitting unit is configured to confirm receipt, by a deletion-signal receiving unit, of a deletion signal indicating deletion of an ipacket of the n packets of the transmission data, and subsequently transmit an i+1packet of the n packets of the transmission data to the additive manufacturing apparatus.
