Abstract

A data detection device is used in combination with a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) apparatus. A magnetic field detection unit () serves to detect a temporally varying magnetic field generated by the MRI apparatus, and a timestamping unit () generates magnetic field detection timestamps in dependence of the detected temporally varying magnetic field. This allows determining a temporal relation to acquired MRI data.
