Abstract
A vehicular control apparatus includes a battery (), a voltage detection unit (), a current detection unit (), a first calculation unit, a second calculation unit, a determination unit, and a control unit. The first calculation unit calculates a first SOC of the battery based on an open circuit voltage of the battery. When the accuracy of the first SOC is equal to or more than a predetermined level, the control unit controls a predetermined operation accompanied by charging and/or discharging the battery based on the first SOC. When the accuracy of the first SOC is lower than the predetermined level, the second calculation unit calculates a second SOC by adding a time integrated value to a past first SOC determined to have the accuracy equal to or more than the predetermined level, and the control unit controls the predetermined operation based on the second SOC.
