Abstract
A method for producing a siloxane resin, by hydrolyzing and condensing a silane compound containing a hydrolyzable silyl group represented by RSiXusing a neutral salt as a catalyst. In the formula RSiX, R represents an organic group having a carbon atom directly bonded to Si, X represents a hydroxyl group or a hydrolyzable group, and n represents an integer of 0 to 3, provided that when n is 2 or greater each R may be the same as or different from each other, and when (4-n) is 2 or greater, each X may be the same as or different from each other.
