Abstract

A computer has a tablet () and a base () detachably connected by hinge (). Receptacles () and plugs () form electrical and mechanical connections when the tablet () and base () are coupled. The base () is connected via the hinge () to a pivoting rail () that has plugs () and a first contact () on a longitudinal side () directed toward the tablet (). The tablet () has receptacles () and a second contact () on a longitudinal side () directed toward the pivoting rail (). The hinge () has toothing system pairs (), a setting device () assigned to a toothing system pair () and friction hinge elements (). Each toothing system pair () has two toothing system elements () arranged symmetrically to a transverse axis () and engaging one another. Each friction hinge () is assigned at least one toothing system pair ().
