Abstract
An imaging device that can be connected to a client device through a network includes an imaging optical system, an imaging element, an IRCF driving circuitconfigured to insert/remove an IRCFto/from an optical path of the imaging optical system, and a communication circuitconfigured to receive an automatic insertion/removal control instruction for causing the imaging device to automatically control insertion/removal of the IRCFand additional information relating to insertion/removal of the IRCFfrom the client device and configured to transmit operation information indicative of whether the imaging device uses the additional information received by the communication circuitin a case in which the IRCFis inserted to the optical path, in a case in which the IRCFis removed from the optical path, or in both the cases of insertion and removal.
