Abstract

A nonaqueous electrolyte battery provided by the present invention includes: an electrode body () having a flat shape and including a positive electrode and a negative electrode (); a square-shaped battery case () configured to accommodate therein the electrode body () and a nonaqueous electrolyte; and a negative electrode collector terminal () placed in the battery case () and connected to the negative electrode () of the electrode body (). The negative electrode collector terminal () is mainly made of copper or copper alloy. An insulator film () configured to insulate the battery case () from the electrode body () is placed between an inner wall () of the battery case () and the electrode body (). The insulator film () is joined to the inner wall () of the battery case (), and the insulator film () is placed so as not to make contact with the negative electrode collector terminal ().
