A vehicle door () has a door main body () comprising an inner panel () and an outer panel (); a door sash () at the top of the door main body (); a window opening section (); a window panel () that occludes at least a portion of the window opening section (); a panel support frame () that supports at least a portion of the window panel (); and a belt line reinforcing member () attached to the inner panel () or the outer panel () along an upper edge of the door main body (). The belt line reinforcing member () has an upper extension section () extending along the door sash () above the upper edge of the door main body (), and the panel support frame () is sandwiched between the door sash () and the upper extension section ().
