An electrical connector includes a plurality of terminal groups arranged along a front-rear direction. Each terminal group is formed by a first terminal and a second terminal provided in the front-rear direction. The first terminal includes a first base portion and two first elastic arms connected to the first base portion. Each first elastic arm has a first contact portion located in front of the first base portion. The second terminal includes a second base portion and two second elastic arms connected to the second base portion. The second elastic arms are formed by extending backward and then bending and extending forward relative to the second base portion. Each second elastic arm has a second contact portion. In a same terminal group, along the front-rear direction, a distance between the first and second base portions is less than a distance between the first and second contact portions.

Electrical connector

An electrical connector includes an insulating body with multiple accommodating slots, and multiple terminals accommodated in the accommodating slots. Each terminal has an elastic arm, a floating contact portion and a conducting portion. The elastic arm and the floating contact portion are provided at an interval. One end of the elastic arm is connected with the floating contact portion through an insulating block. When each terminal is mated with a first electronic component and a second electronic component, the conducting portion is electrically connected to the first electronic component, the floating contact portion is electrically connected to the second electronic component, the elastic arm provides an elastic force such that the floating contact portion moves downward, and the floating contact portion and the conducting portion are directly electrically connected.

A method of manufacturing an electrical connector includes: providing a metal plate, and cutting the metal plate to form multiple base portions and pre-soldering areas; providing multiple conductive members, and soldering the conductive members to the pre-soldering areas; cutting and forming multiple elastic arms correspondingly according to locations of the conductive members in the pre-soldering areas as references, where a conductive terminal includes a base portion, at least one elastic arm and at least one conductive member; forming an insulating body on the conductive terminals by insert-molding, where the elastic arms and the conductive members are exposed from the insulating body; and forming the conductive terminals by cutting, where at least some of the conductive terminals are separated from each other and are not in contact with each other. The first electronic component and the second electronic component abut the elastic arms and the conductive members to deform and move.

Electrical connector and method of manufacturing the same

A method of manufacturing an electrical connector is provided. The method includes: providing a terminal and a strip, where the strip is connected to the terminal, and the terminal is formed with an elastic arm, a floating contact portion and a conducting portion; then, insert-molding an insulating block, such that the insulating block connects the elastic arm and the floating contact portion; separating the elastic arm and the floating contact portion; further cutting the strip to separate the terminal from the strip; and providing an insulating body, where the insulating body is formed with at least one accommodating slot running vertically therethrough, and inserting the terminal into the accommodating slot. When the electrical connector is mated, the elastic arm provides an elastic force such that the floating contact portion moves downward, and the floating contact portion and the conducting portion are directly electrically connected.

An electrical connector includes multiple conductive terminals respectively retained in multiple accommodating slots of an insulating body. Each conductive terminal includes a base portion, a connecting portion extending from one side of the base portion, a first elastic arm and a second elastic arm extending from the connecting portion toward a direction away from the same one side of the base portion, and at least one fixing portion extending from another side of the base portion. A width of the connecting portion is less than a width of the base portion and less than a width of a location of the first elastic arm near the connecting portion as well as a width of a location of the second elastic arm near the connecting portion. The fixing portion and the first elastic arm are respectively located at different sides of the base portion, thus achieving good elasticity and thinness.

Electrical connector having conductive terminals with high density and low height

An electrical connector includes multiple terminals formed by cutting from a metal plate and bending. The portion of the metal plate with the terminals being removed is defined as a base plate. Each terminal has a base portion and an elastic arm connected thereto. The base portion is at least partially horizontally provided to be coplanar to the base plate. A cutting slot is formed between the base plate and the base portion. A through slot is formed between the base plate and the elastic arm. An insulating body is provided with through holes running vertically therethrough. A portion of the cutting slot and the through slot are exposed in a corresponding through hole. The terminals include signal terminals and ground terminals. The base plate forms a connecting portion between the through slot and the cutting slot of each ground terminal to be connected to the ground terminal.

An electrical connector is used to be electrically connected to a mating component. The electrical connector includes one or more shielding members, forming multiple receiving holes; and multiple terminals, including at least one signal terminal and at least one ground terminal correspondingly accommodated in the receiving holes. The ground terminal has a mating portion upward abutting the mating component, an elastic portion pressed vertically to elastically deform, and a positioning portion having a cross-section in a circular shape. The positioning portion and the shielding members are conductively connected to each other by at least three conductive portions, and the three conductive portions are provided to form a triangle. An insulating block is between the signal terminal and a corresponding shielding member to be accommodated in a corresponding receiving hole. The positioning portion with a circular cross-section has a larger area when the volume of the receiving hole remains unchanged.

Electrical connector with ground terminal and shielding

A method of manufacturing a curved-surface metal line is provided. A three-dimensional structure is formed with a metal member and then fixed together with an insulator. Alternatively, the metal member and the insulator are embedded-formed to jointly form the three-dimensional structure, or the metal member and the insulator are fixed together and then jointly form the three-dimensional structure. Then, a photoresist protection layer is formed outside the metal member, and a selective exposure treatment is performed such that corresponding locations of the photoresist protection layer being exposed is subject to a photochemical reaction. The photoresist protection layer is developed, and after the photoresist protection layer is partially dissolved, portions of the metal member at the corresponding locations are simultaneously exposed. The exposed portions of the metal member are etched, and residual portions of the photoresist protection layer are removed to form the metal line provided on the insulator.

Method of manufacturing curved-surface metal line

An electrical terminal includes a base, a first elastic arm and a second elastic arm formed side by side by extending upwardly from an upper end of the base, and a protruding portion. The first elastic arm has a mating portion, and the second elastic arm has a contact portion. The protruding portion protrudes and extends from a first side of the first elastic arm, and the first side of the first elastic arm is adjacent to the second elastic arm. A lower surface of the protruding portion has a contact surface overlapping with the contact portion in a vertical direction, such that the contact portion upwardly abuts the contact surface. When the chip module presses downwardly on the electrical terminal, the contact portion can move on the contact surface, such that the chip module does not need to press downwardly on the contact portion with a relatively large pressure.

Electrical terminal and electrical connector in vertical compression contact with chip module

An electrical connector includes multiple terminals fixed to an insulating body. Each terminal has a contact portion electrically connected with a mating connector, and a conducting portion located behind the contact portion. The conducting portion extends out of the insulating body and is electrically connected with a circuit board. A grounding shell wraps outside the insulating body. A shielding shell rotates relative to the insulating body between a closed position and an open position. A first end of the shielding shell is electrically connected with the grounding shell. When the shielding shell is at the closed position, a second end of the shielding shell is electrically connected with at least one grounding medium electrically connected with the circuit board. When the shielding shell is at the open position, an observation window is formed between the shielding shell and the grounding medium to expose the conducting portions of the terminals.

Electrical connector with an outer shielding shell rotatively to an inner shelding shell

An electrical connector includes: a circuit board, provided with multiple accommodating holes, where each accommodating hole is circular shaped; multiple terminals, where each terminal includes a base, and the base is accommodated in a corresponding accommodating hole; and multiple strip connecting portions, configured to be connected to a corresponding one of the first strips. One strip connecting portion and the corresponding base are fixed to each other. When the strip connecting portion and the corresponding base are inserted into the corresponding accommodating hole, the strip connecting portion supports and abuts the corresponding base, such that the corresponding terminal is not easily deformed or rotated during the insertion, and the corresponding terminal is not easily damaged. The strip connecting portion, the corresponding base and the corresponding accommodating hole form a contact of at least three points, ensuring the corresponding terminal to be stably fixed in the corresponding accommodating hole.

An electrical connector includes a body having an accommodating hole running vertically therethrough, and a conductive terminal accommodated in the accommodating hole. The conductive terminal includes: an upper terminal, having an upper base and an upper elastic arm formed by extending from the upper base; an upper connecting member, fixed on the upper base in a front-rear direction to be connected to a first strip; a lower terminal, electrically connected with the upper terminal and having a lower base and a lower elastic arm extending from the lower base; and a lower connecting member, fixed on the lower base in the front-rear direction to be connected to a second strip. The upper terminal, the lower terminal, the upper connecting member and the lower connecting member are formed separately. The upper extending portion and the lower extending portion are provided side by side and jointly positioned in the accommodating hole.

An electrical connector and an electrical connector assembly are provided. The electrical connector assembly includes: a mating assembly including a support plate and multiple insertion portions provided on the support plate and protruding downward out of the support plate; and an electrical connector. The electrical connector includes: a substrate, provided with multiple accommodating holes running through the substrate vertically; and multiple terminals accommodated in the accommodating holes. Each terminal has a base and two clamping portions configured to clamp a corresponding insertion portion. The two clamping portions are located in front of the base. A top end of the base is lower than top ends of the two clamping portions. When the two clamping portions jointly clamp the corresponding insertion portion, a portion of the corresponding insertion portion lower than the top ends of the clamping portions is located right above the base of an adjacent terminal.

Electrical connector and electrical connector assembly for connection to a circuit board with zero insertion force

An electrical connector includes: a first terminal with one end having a first contact and a second terminal with one end having a second contact. The first contact is located in a first accommodating hole, and a first distance exists between the first contact and an inner wall of the first accommodating hole. A width of the second contact is greater than a width of the first contact. The second contact is located in a second accommodating hole, and a second distance exists between the second contact and the inner wall of the second accommodating hole. A width of the first accommodating hole at the first contact is equal to a width of the second accommodating hole at the second contact, and the first distance is greater than the second distance.

Electrical connector having reduced crosstalk with improved signal transmission

An electrical connector includes: an insulating body, a first terminal and a second terminal. The insulating body is provided with a mating slot. At least one side of the mating slot is provided with two accommodating holes, and the accommodating holes are in communication with the mating slot. One end of the first terminal has a first contact located in a first accommodating hole, and a first distance exists between the first contact and an inner wall of the first accommodating hole. One end of the second terminal has a second contact. A width of the second contact is equal to a width of the first contact. The second contact is located in a second accommodating hole. A second distance exists between the second contact and an inner wall of the second accommodating hole. By reducing the second distance, the second distance is less than the first distance.
