Beam reporting from a communication device

A method includes receiving () a plurality of reference signals (-) at an antenna port of a communication device (). Each reference signal (-) is sent using a corresponding precoder. The precoder is selected from a first set of precoders. The method further includes determining () a channel estimate based on the received plurality of reference signals (-), and selecting () a precoder from a second set of precoders based on the determined channel estimate. The second set of precoders comprises at least one precoder in addition to the precoders of the first set of precoders. Operating communication devices

Systems and methods for selecting a communication mode in a wireless network () include a communication mode selection procedure that may be carried out by the respective devices in an automated manner to identify a desired mode for communication between an electronic device () and a network node (). IMU-assisted polarization division multiplexed MIMO wireless communication

Systems and methods for managing interference in a communication network include transmitting a first downlink signal from a first transmit/receive point (TRP) to an electronic device using a beam. The electronic device can also receive a second downlink signal from a second TRP, where a portion of the first downlink signal from the first TRP interferes with the second downlink signal. The first TRP then receives a series of uplink pilot signals from the electronic device. Using the received uplink pilot signals, the first TRP can then estimate the angle of departure (AoD) for the intended signal (first downlink signal), and the AoD for the interference signal. The first TRP can then reconfigure the beam used to transmit the first downlink signal based on the estimated AoDs for the intended signal and interference signal to manage the interference effect that the first leakage signal has on the second downlink signal.

Method and system for managing interference in multi TRP systems

A method of operating a terminal having multiple antenna arrays includes, using the multiple antenna arrays: respectively monitoring and reporting on at least one downlink beam-sweeped transmission of pilot signals. The method also includes, based on a comparison of values indicative of a path loss of the pilot signals monitored using the multiple antenna arrays: selectively triggering adjustment of one or more values of at least one control parameter of said monitoring and reporting.
