A projection display system includes a light source assembly, a wavelength adjusting assembly, and a modulation assembly. The light source assembly is configured to emit projected light. The wavelength adjusting assembly is disposed on an optical path of the projected light for adjusting spectrum of the projected light, and a ratio of luminous efficacy of adjusted projected light to luminous efficacy of monochromatic light corresponding to a dominant wavelength of the projected light is greater than a preset ratio, and color gamut of the adjusted projected light satisfies a preset color gamut coverage. The modulation assembly is disposed on a light exiting path of the wavelength adjusting assembly and configured to modulate light emitted by the wavelength adjusting assembly and output corresponding image light to form projection image.

Projection display system

A light source device, comprising an excitation light source, a wavelength conversion element, a transparent substrate, and a light splitter. The wavelength conversion element comprises a wavelength conversion area and a scattering area. The excitation light source emits excitation light that has a first polarization state. The transparent substrate guides first part of the excitation light to the scattering area and guides second part of the excitation light to the light splitter; and the light splitter guides, directly or by means of a guiding device, the second part of the excitation light to the wavelength conversion area. The scattering area scatters the first part of the excitation light and guides the scattered first part of the excitation light to the transparent substrate; and the transparent substrate and the light splitter guide the scattered first excitation light to a light-emitting channel directly or by means of the guiding device.

Light source apparatus and display device

The display device comprises a light source device, an image pre-processing controller, and a light modulation device. The light source device emits first light and second light, wherein a color gamut range of the second light is wider than that of the first light. The image pre-processing controller acquires a color gamut range of the image to be displayed and a brightness value of each pixel based on original image data of an image data to be displayed, and determines a current color gamut range and controls the light source device to emit first light and the second light corresponding to amount of light required in the current color gamut range. The light modulation device modulates the light emitted by the light source device to generate image light of the image to be displayed based on image data corresponding to the current color gamut range.

Display device and display method

A display apparatus comprises a light source device, an image data processing module, a light modulating device and an image synthesizing device. The light source device is configured to emit first light and second light. The image data processing module is configured to receive original image data of an image to be displayed, wherein the original image data of the image to be displayed is based on image data within a second color gamut range and comprises original control signal values of m colors of each pixel; the second color gamut range covers a first color gamut range and has a portion that exceeds the first color gamut range. The image data processing module is further configured to map the original control signal values of the m colors into m corrected control signal values corresponding to the first light and n corrected control signal values corresponding to the second light.

Display apparatus

A display apparatus comprising a light source device, an image data processing module, a light modulation device, and an image synthesizing device. The light source device is configured to emit first light and second light. The image data processing module is configured to receive original image data of an image to be displayed, the original image data of the image to be displayed being image data based on a second color gamut range and comprising original control signal values of m colors of pixels, and the second color gamut range covers a first color gamut range and has a portion beyond the first color gamut range. The image data processing module further maps the original control signal values as m corrected control signal values and n control signal values.
