The CCM may be configured to facilitate communication between the server and a remote device. A wearable medical device (WMD) may be configured to provide electrocardiogram (ECG) data to the server. The CCM may be configured capture one or more portions of the ECG data to be configured and compared at the remote device. Accordingly, the CCM may be configured to display the one or more portions at the remote device capable of being utilized by a person at the remote device.

Disclosed is a wearable medical device, such as a Wearable Cardioverter Defibrillator, which includes one or more sensors and a processor coupled to the one or more sensors. The processor is configured to record patient-specific information derived from signals output by the one or more sensors while the wearable medical device is being worn and to execute an algorithm to analyze the recorded information, the algorithm being based on data collected from multiple different persons. The processor is further configured to perform an artificial intelligence analysis of the recorded information, to update the algorithm with update information derived from the artificial intelligence analysis of the derived information, and to use the updated algorithm to analyze subsequent signals output by the one or more sensors while the wearable medical is being worn. The disclosed techniques result in a more patient-specific approach, which results in fewer false alarms.

In one embodiment, a WCD is described. The WCD includes a support structure configured to be worn by a patient and a processor coupled to the support structure. The WCD also includes an energy storage module configured to store an electrical charge and in communication with the processor. The WCD also includes a discharge circuit coupled to the energy storage module, the discharge circuit in communication with the processor and configured to discharge the stored electrical charge through a body of the patient. The processor is configured to detect an event at the WCD, classify the detected event, and determine an alarm onset time of the detected event based at least in part on the event classification. The processor is further configured to issue the alarm after the alarm onset time.

Disclosed are a timeline-based navigation feature and a channel selection feature. The timeline-based navigation feature allows the user to visually identify significant events during an episode and quickly navigate the display of data to those significant events. Embodiments of such feature allow a user to quickly see that there is a shock delivered, for example, and click on that part of a timeline navigator to advance the detailed display of data to that point in the episode. The data channel selection feature enables selection of display channel(s) from among a set of available data channels. Embodiments of such feature enable a selection and/or deselection of various channels for display to minimize display of extraneous data and/or to select preferred channels of data for review.

The wearable cardioverter defibrillator also includes a user interface housing at least one sensor and responsive to changes in device orientation. The processor is configured to detect a motion at the user interface and determine when the motion is patient-activated. The processor determines an orientation of a display at the user interface based on the direction of rotation and orients the display at the user interface to appear upright to the patient.

In embodiments, a wearable medical system (WMS) for an ambulatory patient, which can be a wearable cardioverter defibrillator (WCD) system, analyzes the patient's ECG signal to generate a detection outcome. The WMS also has an ambulatory user interface that outputs a human-visible indication. A programming device, such as a PC, a tablet, etc., establishes a communication link with the WMS during an in-person session with the patient. The programming device may include a programming screen that reproduces the human-visible indication in real time. An advantage can be that the person programming the WMS need not strain to look also at the ambulatory user interface at the time they are looking at the programming device. Another advantage can be that the patient will recognize that he or she is better protected, and have their confidence in the WMS increased, and therefore better comply with wearing the WMS as required.

The method includes detecting a condition requiring attention of the patient and issuing an alert to notify the patient of the condition.
