The object of the invention is an apparatus suited for individuals in training dynamic balance and turning maneuvers while walking, said apparatus allowing said maneuvers while an individual is standing, walking on a flat surface or walking on a treadmill that can rotate around a vertical axis of the treadmill. To serve this purpose, the apparatus of the invention is provided with a base platform (), in which two universal joints (') are arranged that are connected with a pelvis element () with two vertical rods (&#x2032;) or vertically adjustable rods (&#x2032;) via conventional spherical joints (&#x2032;), and the universal joints (&#x2032;) have two degrees of freedom that can further be provided by drives ().

Apparatus for training dynamic balance and turning manoeuvres during walking

A standing-up trainer, in particular for use in rehabilitation for mobilizing persons having limited mobility. In order to adjust a seat base between a sitting position and a standing position, a positioning unit that is adjustable by a drive is provided, and at least one securing device for securing the convalescent is provided.

Standing-up trainer

An exercise machine for exercising at least one limb, in particular for use in rehabilitation and/or fitness, with a supporting frame and a generator of circular motion, which can be rotated on a rotary shaft associated with the supporting frame, and a limb support for resting and/or supporting at least one limb. A rotational shaft arranged radially off-set with respect to the rotary shaft of the generator of circular motion is associated with the generator of circular motion to rotatably mount a rotator. The limb support is associated with the rotator, preferably eccentric to the rotational shaft. The trajectory of the limb support is elliptical, the ellipse being formed by an overlapping of the circular motions of the generator of circular motion and the rotator.

Exercise machine

A universal haptic drive system for arm and wrist rehabilitation that includes a hand accessory and a vertical handle for carrying the hand accessory, the vertical handle being movable in a transversal plane. The system furthermore includes a haptic actuator system for applying a force to the vertical handle. The vertical handle includes a universal joint with locking ability. When the universal joint is unlocked, it enables movements for wrist rehabilitation, and when it is locked it causes a stiff substantially vertical handle enabling movements for arm rehabilitation.

Universal haptic drive system

A balance training apparatus for supporting an individual with a limited liability to maintain his or her on balance has a pair of vertical support rods connected to a base by joints which include lower elastic parts tending to bias the user into an upright position. The two support rods are connected by a brace for supporting the pelvis of the user and knee supports are provided between the two support rods for yieldably pressing the knees of the user.
