Lens systems for compact digital cameras having a pop-out state and a collapsed state, the lens systems comprising: an image sensor having a sensor diagonal SD, and a lens with N≥6 lens elements L-LN arranged along a lens optical axis (OA) starting with Lfrom an object side toward an image side, each lens element Li having a respective clear aperture diameter DA1≤i≤N, and having in the pop-out state a field of view 35 deg<FOV<50 deg, a f number (f/#), a lens thickness T, a back focal length BFL, an effective focal length EFL, and a total track length TTL<20 mm, the lens having in the collapsed state a collapsed total track length c-TTL, wherein c-TTL=T+1 mm, wherein EFL≥10 mm, wherein f/#<2, and wherein a ratio c-TTL/EFL<0.8.

Slim pop-out tele camera lenses

Scanning Tele cameras (STCs) based on two optical path folding element (OPFE) field-of-view scanning and mobile devices including such STCs. A STC may comprise a first OPFE (O-OPFE) for folding a first optical path OPto a second optical path OP, an O-OPFE actuator, a second OPFE (I-OPFE) for folding OPto a third optical path OP, an I-OPFE actuator, a lens, a lens actuator and an image sensor, wherein the STC has a STC native field-of-view (n-FOV), wherein the O-OPFE actuator is configured to rotate the O-OPFE around a first axis and the I-OPFE actuator rotates the I-OPFE around a second axis for scanning a scene with the n-FOV, wherein the lens actuator is configured to move the lens for focusing along a third axis, and wherein the first axis is perpendicular to the second axis and parallel to the third axis.

Pop-out zoom camera

Folded digital cameras, comprising a lens with N≥3 lens elements Land having an EFL, an aperture diameter DA, a f-number f/#, a TTL, and a BFL, wherein each lens element has a respective focal length fand wherein a first lens element Lfaces an object side and a last lens element Lfaces an image side; an image sensor having a sensor diagonal (SD); and an optical path folding element (OPFE) for providing a folded optical path between an object and the image sensor, wherein the lens is located at an object side of the OPFE, wherein the EFL is in the range of 8 mm<EFL<50 mm, and wherein a ratio between the BFL and the TTL fulfills BFL/TTL>0.75.

Compact folded tele cameras

Folded Tele cameras, comprising: an optical path folding element (OPFE) for a folding a first optical path OP1 to second optical path OP2, a lens including N lens elements, the lens being divided into four lens groups arranged along a lens optical axis and marked, in order from an object side of the lens to an image side of the lens, G1, G2, G3 and G4, and an image sensor, wherein the lens elements of a lens group do not move with respect to each other, wherein G1 and G3 do not move with respect to each other, wherein G2 and G4 do not move with respect to each other, wherein the Tele camera is configured to change a zoom factor (ZF) continuously between a minimum zoom factor marked ZFcorresponding to a minimal effective focal length marked EFLand a maximum zoom factor marked ZFcorresponding to a maximal effective focal length marked EFLby moving G1 and G3 together relative to the image sensor and by moving G2 and G4 together relative to the image sensor.

In some embodiments there are disclosed folded camera modules comprising a lens with 6 lens elements divided into two lens groups G1 and G2 and an effective focal length EFL, an object side-optical path folding element O-OPFE, an image side-optical path folding element I-OPFE and an image sensor, wherein G1 is located at an object side of the O-OPFE and G2 is located at an image side of the O-OPFE, wherein 8 mm<EFL<50 mm, wherein a camera module is divided into a first region having a minimum camera module region height MHand including G1 and the O-OPFE, and into a second region having a minimum shoulder region height MH<MHand including the I-OPFE and the image sensor, wherein an aperture height of the lens is Hand wherein H/MH>0.9. In some embodiments, there are disclosed folded camera modules comprising a lens with N=4 lens elements having a lens thickness Tand a total track length TTL, an I-OPFE and an O-OPFE, wherein the EFL is in the range of 8 mm<EFL<50 mm, and wherein T/TTL<0.4.
