A method, system and product for implementing user-based ethical decision making in autonomous vehicles. The system includes an ethical investigator that presents an ethical questioner to an entity and collects the entity's responses. An ethical synthesizer synthesizes an ethical preference of the entity based on the collected responses. An ethical determinator selects an action from a plurality of potential actions based on an ethical preference of a controlling entity of a self-driving vehicle at a time the selection is made. The system is configured to cause the self-driving vehicle to perform the action selected by said ethical determinator automatically and without relying on user input.

Autonomous vehicles implementing user-based ethical decision making

Method, system and product for performing private and non-private tasks in Augmented Reality (AR) systems. A privacy policy of a user using an AR device is obtained. A frame sensor is utilized to obtain frames for processing. An overlay display for the frame is generated. The overlay display is generated based on an execution of a non-private task on a non-trusted device and based on an execution of a private task on a trusted device. The private task and the non-private task are determined based on the privacy policy. The overlay display is displayed by an AR device.

Private and non-private tasks in augmented reality systems

A method, system and product for user-based ethical decision making by a self-driving vehicle. The method comprises determining an ethical preference for the self-driving vehicle based on an ethical preference of a controlling entity that is controlling over the self-driving vehicle. The ethical preference of the controlling entity is obtained based on responses of the controlling entity to an ethical questioner. The method further comprises selecting a selected outcome between two potential alternative outcomes. The selection is performed based on the ethical preference for the self-driving vehicle, and causing the self-driving vehicle to perform the selected action, whereby causing the selected outcome.

User-based ethical decision making by self-driving cars

A method, system and product including obtaining a frame from a frame sensor of an Augmented Reality (AR) system comprising an AR device; executing a first skin on the frame or portion thereof to obtain a first overlay; executing a second skin on the frame or portion thereof to obtain a second overlay, wherein the first and second skins are configured to provide an augmented overlay to be used by the AR system in determining an AR view, wherein said executing the second skin is performed without providing the first overlay to the second skin; determining whether the second overlay can be utilized for providing the AR view; generating the AR view based on the first overlay and based on said determining whether the second overlay can be utilized for providing the AR view; and providing the AR view via the AR device.

Augmented reality skin executions

System, method and product for vehicle navigation. A method comprising obtaining a location of a vehicle and obtaining a data about the passenger in the vehicle. Based on the data, a constraint on a driving route of the vehicle is determined. The constraint is characterized in extending the driving route so as to extend a driving time to the destination to be longer than a minimal driving time from the location to the destination. A driving plan is generated based on the constraint, wherein the driving plan defining a route from the location to the destination, whereby the vehicle can be driven according to the driving plan.

Navigation in vehicles and in autonomous cars

A method, apparatus and product for utilizing markers for augmented reality. The apparatus comprising: a frame sensor configured to obtain a frame, wherein the frame is associated with a field of view of a user; a processor configured to: execute an augmented reality framework, wherein the augmented reality framework is configured to invoke at least one skin to compute an augmented reality display for the user; wherein the augmented reality framework is configured to identify a marker in the frame, wherein in response to identifying the marker, altering functionality of the augmented reality framework.

Execution sequences of the target system are identified. A set of the execution sequences is grouped into an equivalence class characterized by a common control flow. Remotely operating computer software applications using low bandwidth

A method and system are disclosed for modeling non-deterministic queues for efficient model checking. In this method and system, a multitude of messages are held in a plurality of queues, and these messages having n priorities. The method comprises the steps of providing (n+1) queues, including a first queue, and n priority queues; passing said messages from a source to the first queue; passing each of said messages from the first queue to one of said n priority queues based on the priority of the message; and passing each of said messages from the n priority queues to a destination based on the priority of the message. One or more non-deterministic waits are introduced into one or more of the passing steps to simplify passing the messages into or out of the n priority queues.

Modeling non-deterministic priority queues for efficient model checking

A method for verifying software program code includes specifying a property that the software program code is expected to satisfy. The software program code and the property are transformed into an initial logical formula in a static single assignment (SSA) form, the formula including variables. A loop in the software program code is identified. Successive over-approximations are applied to a portion of the initial logical formula corresponding to the loop in order to produce a modified logical formula in the SSA form that represents a finite over-approximation of a set of states that are reachable by the loop. It is verified that the software program code satisfies the specified property by determining whether there is an assignment of the variables that satisfies the modified logical formula.

Model checking of non-terminating software programs

A method and system to identifying the use of dangling pointers in software instrumentation irrespective of the location of the pointer in the memory. The main memory is preferably segmented into three parts defined as a first memory, a version segment and a pointer version segment. By use of the version segment and pointer version stored in the pointer version segment, checksum are made on a pointer version with a version on dereferencing a pointer in the first memory to identify references to a dangling pointer on negative determination. Identified dangling pointer may be reported to the end user.
