Apparatus, system and method of configuring an uplink transmission in a trigger-based multi-user uplink transmission

This disclosure describes systems, methods, and devices related to an extreme high throughput (EHT) signaling structure. A device may establish a communication channel with one or more station devices (STAs). The device may generate an extreme high throughput signal field (EHT-SIG) of a header, wherein the EHT-SIG field comprises information associated with resource allocations (RUs). The device may generate a frame comprising the header. The device may assign a first RU to a first station device. The device may assign a second RU to the first station device, wherein the first RU or the second RU is an aggregation of a 26-tome RU and a neighboring RU. The device may cause to send the frame to the first station device.

Extreme high throughput signaling structure

An extremely high throughput (EHT) station (STA) configured for trigger based (TB) transmission may decode an trigger frame (TF) received from an access point (AP). The TF may include an assignment of resources comprising one or more 20 MHz channels. The EHT STA may determine which of the one or more assigned channels are available for transmission and which of the allocated channels are unavailable when the EHT STA is assigned more than one 20 MHz channel. The EHT STA may encode a EHT TB PPDU in response to the trigger frame. The EHT TB PPDU may be encoded to include an EHT preamble followed by a data field. The EHT preamble may be encoded to indicate channel availability. The EHT STA may generate signalling to cause the EHT STA to transmit the encoded EHT TB PPDU only on the assigned channels that have been determined to be available.

Trigger-based PPDU resource indication for EHT networks

An extremely high throughput (EHT) station (STA) configured for trigger based (TB) transmission may decode an trigger frame (TF) received from an access point (AP). An access point (AP) configured for multi-AP coordinated beamforming (CBF) and multi-AP joint transmission (JT) in an Extremely High Throughput (EHT) wireless local area network (WLAN), when operating as a master AP (AP1) in a multi-AP network, is configured to encode a null data packet announcement (NDPA) frame for multi-AP channel sounding. The NDPA is configured for transmission to a second AP (AP2) and a plurality of stations (STAs) of an EHT group. The NDPA may be encoded to have an information field indicating whether a sounding sequence type is for JT channel sounding or CBF channel sounding. The NDPA may further be encoded to include fields identifying the APs participating in the channel sounding. In these embodiments, the channel sounding sequence for JT can be reused for the channel sounding on CBF.

NDPA for multi-AP coordinated beamforming (CBF) and multi-AP joint transmission (JT) in EHT

An access point (AP) may operate as a master AP (AP) to perform multi-AP coordinated beamforming (CBF). The APmay to initiate a first sounding sequence with one or more STAs associated with the AP1 (BSS STAs) and the one or more STAs associated with a second AP (AP) (OBSS STAs). In these embodiments, initiation of the first sounding sequence triggers the APto join the sounding sequence to initiate a second sound sequence with the BSS STAs and the OBSS STAs.

Multi-AP coordinated beamforming (CBF) for extremely high throughput (EHT)

Embodiments of a station (STA) and method of communication are generally described herein. The STA may be included in a first plurality of STAs affiliated with a first multi-link logical entity (MLLE). A plurality of links may be established between the first MLLE and a second MLLE, wherein the second MLLE may be affiliated with a second plurality of STAs. The STA may receive a first subset of a sequence of MAC protocol data units (MPDUs). A second subset of the sequence of MPDUs may be transmitted by another STA of the first plurality of STAs. The STA may transmit a block acknowledgement (BA) frame that includes: a number of BA bitmaps, configurable to values greater than or equal to one; and BA control information for each of the BA bitmaps.

Block acknowledgement and fragmentation in multi-link communication between multi-link logical entities

Non-contiguous resource units for wireless local-area networks (WLANs)

Embodiments of an access point (AP), station (STA) and method of communication are generally described herein. The STA may determine a portion of a channel occupied by an incumbent device. The STA may refrain from communication in a first subset of resource units (RUs) that overlap the portion of the channel occupied by the incumbent device. The STA may determine a combined RU that comprises two or more RUs of a second subset of RUs that do not overlap the portion of the channel occupied by the incumbent device. The STA may encode a physical layer convergence procedure protocol data unit (PPDU) for transmission in the combined RU. The PPDU may be encoded in accordance with joint coding across the RUs of the combined RU.

Coding over multiple resource units (RU) in extremely high throughput (EHT) systems

Embodiments of an access point (AP), station (STA) and method of communication are generally described herein. An AP may be configurable to operate as a master AP of a multi-AP group comprising the master AP and one or more satellite APs. The master AP may select, from the multi-AP group, a set of APs that is to communicate with a STA in accordance with joint processing. The master AP may allocate one or more spatial streams to each of the APs of the set of APs for a joint transmission of a null data packet (NDP) to the STA for channel sounding. The master AP may transmit an NDP announcement (NDPA) that indicates that the APs of the set of APs are to perform the joint transmission of the NDP.

Joint nulling and joint beamforming for downlink transmissions by multiple access points (AP)
