A recirculation brewing process and apparatus for performing the same are shown. In one embodiment, the coffee brewing process includes: a brew chamber to hold a packed chamber of coffee grounds; and a pump to force a liquid under pressure through the packed chamber of coffee grounds over multiple brewing cycles to extract coffee flavor from the coffee grounds into the liquid using a temperature agnostic infusing brewing process, the liquid under pressure causing a pressure differential over tunnels within the coffee grounds and over the brew chamber when forced through the chamber each cycle of a plurality of cycles to cause extraction of the flavor into the liquid.

Several embodiments include a cooking instrument. The cooking instrument can include a heating system. The heating system can include one or more heating elements capable of emitting wireless energy into the cooking chamber. The cooking instrument can also include a control system. The control system can select a quantifiable cooking result and drive the heating system to achieve such cooking result. In at least one mode of operation, the control system can increase power density despite a power draw limit of an external power source.

Systems and methods include a cooking appliance comprising a heating element disposed within a cooking chamber and operable to selectively emit waves at any of a plurality of powers and/or peak wavelengths, a camera operable to capture an image of the cooking chamber, and a computing device operable to supply power to the heating element to vary the power and/or peak wavelength of the emitted waves and generate heat within the cooking chamber, and instruct the camera to capture the image when the heating element is emitting at a stabilized power and/or peak wavelength. The computing device is operable to generate an adjusted captured image by adjusting the captured image with respect to the stabilized power and/or peak wavelength. The computing device comprises feedback components operable to receive the adjusted captured image, extract features, and analyze the one or more features to determine an event, property, measurement and/or status.

In-oven camera and computer vision systems and methods

Accessories for LED lamp systems and methods of attaching accessories to illumination sources (e.g., LED lamps) are disclosed. A beam shaping accessories mechanically affixed to the LED lamp. The lens is designed to adapt to a first fixture that is mechanically attached to the lens. Accessories are designed to have a second fixture for mating to the first fixture such that the first fixture and the second fixture are configured to produce a retaining force between the first accessory and the lens. The retaining force is a mechanical force that is accomplished by mechanical mating of mechanical fixtures, or the retaining force is a magnetic force and is accomplished by magnetic fixtures configured to have attracting magnetic forces. In some embodiments, the accessory is treated to modulate an emanated light pattern (e.g., a rectangular, or square, or oval, or circular or diffused emanated light pattern). A USB connector is also provided.

A wearable electronic device is discussed. The device has a housing and a processor in the housing. The processor can enable the wearer of the device to select different operations from an onscreen display. The device also has a communication circuit in the housing to transmit wirelessly to another device cooperating with the electronic device. The device has a microphone hole penetrating the housing to a microphone, a microphone seal component, and a waterproof material in the housing. The microphone seal component has channels and when compressed against the waterproof material can i) allow sound waves in air to pass through to the microphone inside the housing behind the waterproof material and the microphone seal component, ii) form a water tight seal for the microphone hole penetrating the housing, and iii) provide an air pressure equalization mechanism between internal pressure inside the housing and atmospheric pressure external to the housing.
