This disclosure provides a method for preparing a current collector. The method includes: (1) anchoring vinyl groups onto the surface of textiles through the silanization between hydroxyl groups and coupling agents; (2) synthesizing polyelectrolyte brushes through in-situ radical polymerization; and (3) obtaining catalyst ions on the polyelectrolyte brushes through ion-exchange and obtaining metal-coated layers through subsequent electroless deposition). The current collector according to the present disclosure has high electrical conductivity and excellent mechanical flexibility, and thus the lithium ion battery including the same is suitable for portable and wearable electronic devices.

Metallic textiles for flexible wearable lithium ion batteries

Provided herein are a lithium electrode and a sulfur electrode for batteries. The lithium electrode comprises lithium metal and a metal-coated fabric. The fibers of the metal-coated fabric are covered by a metal layer, on which the lithium metal is attached. The sulfur electrode comprises a sulfur composite and a nickel-coated fabric. The fibers of the nickel-coated fabric are covered by a nickel layer, on which the sulfur composite is attached. The lithium electrode can inhibit dendrite formation and the sulfur electrode can speed up the redox kinetics of soluble polysulfides.

Electrodes for batteries

An electrode for a battery, comprising an active material and a metallic fabric is disclosed. The metallic fabric comprises fibers being at least partially covered by a coating of nickel or copper, which comprises a layer and a plurality of protrusions protruding from the layer. The active material is attached on the protrusions. The metallic fabric provides a high electrical conductivity and a high mechanical stability, and demonstrates outstanding performance for the use as a current collector of battery.

Electrode for battery and fabrication method thereof

The disclosure relates to methods of printing indicia on a substrate using a tip array comprised of elastomeric, compressible polymers. The tip array can be prepared using conventional photolithographic methods and can be tailored to have any desired number and/or arrangement of tips. Numerous copies (e.g., greater than 15,000, or greater than 11 million) of a pattern can be made in a parallel fashion in as little as 40 minutes.

Polymer pen lithography

A method of preparing a tip for lithography, includes forming a mold having at least one recess; disposing a first polymer in the recess to form an apex of the tip,; curing the first polymer in the recess; and disposing a second polymer in the recess to form a base of the tip. The Young's Modulus of the second polymer is lower than the Young's Modulus of the first polymer. The tip structure for lithography includes a substrate, and a layered structure including a tip having an apex of a first polymer and a base of a second polymer. The first polymer is less resiliently deformable than the second polymer.

Composite tip array for polymer pen lithography

Disclosed are methods of lithography using a tip array having a plurality of pens attached to a backing layer, where the tips can comprise a metal, metalloid, and/or semi-conducting material, and the backing layer can comprise an elastomeric polymer. The tip array can be used to perform a lithography process in which the tips are coated with an ink (e.g., a patterning composition) that is deposited onto a substrate upon contact of the tip with the substrate surface. The tips can be easily leveled onto a substrate and the leveling can be monitored optically by a change in light reflection of the backing layer and/or near the vicinity of the tips upon contact of the tip to the substrate surface.
