A method and system for authoring a three-dimensional (3D) presentation can involve dividing a scene into a grid of equals-sized segments or non-equally sized segments, wherein one or more 360-degree cameras record the scene from a center of each segment, and a size of the each segment is proportional to a complexity of an environment captured in the scene. One or more objects can be created within the scene for a user interaction with a 3D presentation of the scene in the context of a video stream. A logical center of the object(s) can be used as a center point for recording a 360-degree video by the one or more 360-degree cameras for use as a low fidelity background video when the user interacts with the 3D presentation of the scene. The 3D presentation can be based on a 3D model.

This disclosure provides a notification subsystem for generating consolidated, filtered, and relevant security risk-based notifications. A method includes discovering multiple devices in a computing system. The method includes grouping the multiple devices into multiple security zones. The method includes generating a risk value identifying at least one cyber-security risk of the devices for one of the security zones. The method includes comparing the risk value to a threshold. The method includes automatically generating a notification for one or more users when the risk value violates the threshold.

The one or more applications and the background tasks are executed in different time slots. At least one of the background tasks cannot be completed within a single time slot. The at least one of the background task is executed incrementally in multiple non-adjacent time slots so as to prevent the at least one background task from interfering with the execution of the one or more applications.

A method includes identifying one or more features of an execution environment to be used by an application during execution and determining if use of the one or more features is restricted. The method also includes, if use of the one or more features is not restricted, compiling and executing the application in the execution environment. The method further includes, if use of any of the one or more features is restricted, blocking execution of the application in the execution environment. Determining if the use of the one or more features is restricted may include using a configuration list or a profile identified using a custom attribute. The configuration list or the profile identifies features that are available for use in the execution environment and/or features that cannot be used in the execution environment.

In addition, the method includes deallocating the plurality of memory blocks during a single deallocation. Memory blocks in multiple heaps could be allocated to the one or more executing applications. A particular memory block in a particular heap could be allocated to a particular executing application by pushing an indicator identifying the particular heap onto a stack. The particular memory block is allocated in the particular heap based on the indicator, and the indicator is popped from the stack after allocation.

An arrangement is provided for selectively loading and executing an assembly based on platform capabilities. When an application that includes at least one platform capability-dependent assembly realized to perform a function is initiated on a platform of a device, the platform capabilities supported by the device are determined based on corresponding platform capability profiles. Based on the supported platform capabilities, specialized assemblies designed to perform an underlying function on a platform having the supported capabilities are selected. A system for, and method of, constructing an Object Linking and Embedding (OLE) for Process Control (OPC) compliant data server from a device-specific noncompliant user application and a real-time process control system employing the system or the method. In one embodiment, the system includes: (1) a generic OPC compliant interface object and (2) a template associated with the generic OPC compliant interface object. The template is modifiable and combinable with a device-specific interface portion to yield the device-specific noncompliant user application. The device-specific noncompliant user application is dynamically linkable with and aggregates to the generic OPC compliant interface object to yield the OPC compliant data server.
