Methods of treating malaria comprising administration of compounds of Formula (I') or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, to a subject in need thereof, wherein the variables are as defined herein. It also provides uses of the compounds of Formula (I), as defined herein, for inhibiting plasmepsin X, plasmepsin IX or plasmepsin X and IX activity, for treating ainfection, and for treating malaria. Also provided are methods of treatment further comprising administration of one or more additional anti-malarial compounds.

Antimalarial agents

The present invention provides methods of treating malaria comprising administration of compounds of Formula (I) or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, to a subject in need thereof, wherein the variables are as defined herein. The invention also provides uses of the compounds of Formula (I), as defined herein, for the possible inhibition of plasmepsin X, plasmepsin IX or plasmepsin X and IX activity, for treating ainfection, and for treating malaria. Also provided are methods of treatment further comprising administration of one or more additional anti-malarial compounds.

The present invention is directed to cyclobutyl pyrazolopyrimidine compounds which may be useful as therapeutic agents for the treatment of disorders associated with phosphodiesterase 9 (PDE9). The present invention also relates to the use of such compounds for treating cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases, such as hypertension, chronic kidney disease and heart failure, and neurological and psychiatric disorders, such as schizophrenia, psychosis or Huntington's disease, and those associated with striatal hypofunction or basal ganglia dysfunction.

The present invention is directed to pyrazolopyrimidine compounds of the general structural formula I: which may be useful as therapeutic agents for the treatment of disorders associated with phosphodiesterase 9 (PDE9). The present invention further relates to methods of administering such safe and efficacious vaccines to equine.
