The present invention relates to a manufacturing method for an electrical connector, comprising the following steps: providing a first strip, a second strip, and a plurality of grounding terminals, power terminals and signal terminals which are located between the first strip and the second strip; forming a first body and a second body onto the grounding terminals, the power terminals and the signal terminals by insert-molding, wherein each grounding terminal comprises an exposed upper contacting portion, an exposed lower contacting portion and a first connecting portion located between the first body and the second body; bending the first connecting portions, assembling a shielding plate into the accommodating space; and forming an insulation block onto the first body and the second body by an insert-molding.

Manufacturing method for electrical connector

The present invention relates to an electrical connector, which has an insulation body, a shielding plate, a plurality of grounding terminals and conducting terminals accommodated in the insulation body. Each grounding terminal is formed by bending a linear wire and has an upper contacting portion, a bending portion extending from the upper contacting portion, and a lower contacting portion extending from the bending portion, wherein the upper contacting portion is parallel to the lower contacting portion. Therefore, the crosstalk between the upper-row signal terminals and the lower-row signal terminals is reduced, and the shielding effect is enhanced.

Electrical connector

An electrical connector includes an insulative housing, a plurality of terminals retained in the insulative housing. The insulative housing has a receiving room and a mating part received in the receiving room, the mating part defines a mating hole and a pair of receiving grooves extending rearward on two lateral sides of the mating hole. The terminals include a detecting terminal received in the mating hole and a pair of power terminals received in the receiving grooves. The mating part further defines a pair of guiding surfaces on two sides of the mating hole and a pair of stiffening ribs on two sides of the receiving groove, which can reduce the mating force during the mating process and protect the mating part.

An electrical connector includes an insulating housing and a plurality of contacts retained on a mating portion of the housing. The mating portion has a mating port with a geometric centre. The contacts are divided into an upper array and a lower array. Each array includes several first contacts and at least one pair of second contacts located on two sides of the first contacts, the first contacts of the upper array are centrally symmetric to the first contacts of the lower array relative to the geometric centre of the mating port. An electrical connector includes an insulating housing, a shell retained on the insulating housing, a plurality of terminals retained on the mating portion of the insulating housing, and a spacer engaging with the insulating housing. The insulating housing includes a base portion and a mating portion protruding from the base portion, the base portion has a top wall, a bottom wall, a pair of sidewalls connecting with the top wall and bottom wall, a front wall connecting with the mating portion and a rear wall. The front wall of the base portion has a pair of slanted portions formed on two sides of the mating portion, the rear wall of the base portion has a plurality of barriers for retaining the terminals and a pair of flange portions on two sides of the barriers, each flange portion has a groove on an inner side surface to engage with the spacer.
