The present invention provides a solid catalyst component for the polymerization of olefins, comprising magnesium, titanium, a halogen and an electron donor, wherein said electron donor comprises at least one selected from the group consisting of ester of polyol of the formula (I):RCO&#x2014;O&#x2014;CRR&#x2014;A&#x2014;CRR&#x2014;O&#x2014;CO&#x2014;R&#x2003;&#x2003;(I)wherein, Rand Rgroups, which may be identical or different, can be substituted or unsubstituted hydrocarbyl having 1 to 20 carbon atoms, R-Rgroups, which may be identical or different, can be selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, halogen or substituted or unsubstituted hydrocarbyl having 1 to 20 carbon atoms, R-Rgroups optionally contain one or more hetero-atoms replacing carbon, hydrogen atom or the both, said hetero-atom is selected from the group consisting of nitrogen, oxygen, sulfur, silicon, phosphorus and halogen atom, two or more of R-Rgroups can be linked to form saturated or unsaturated monocyclic or polycyclic ring A is a single bond or bivalent linking group with chain length between two free radicals being 1-10 atoms, wherein said bivalent linking group is selected from the group consisting of aliphatic, alicyclic and aromatic bivalent radicals, and can carry C-Clinear or branched substituents one or more of carbon atom and/or hydrogen atom on above-mentioned bivalent linking group and substituents can be replaced by a hetero-atom selected from the group consisting of nitrogen, oxygen, sulfur, silicon, phosphorus, and halogen atom, and two or more said substituents on the linking group as well as above-mentioned R-Rgroups can be linked to form saturated or unsaturated monocyclic or polycyclic ring.

Solid catalyst component for polymerization of olefins, catalyst comprising the same and use thereof

A catalyst system for the (co)polymerization of propylene contains (A) a solid catalyst component comprising titanium, magnesium, halogen and a 1,3-diether; (B) an organic aluminum compound; and optionally (C) an organic silicon compound. In comparison with the prior art, stereospecificity of the polymer prepared by using the catalyst system of this invention evenl containing no external electron-donor is greater than 99%. Also, the activity of the catalyst system and hydrogen gas adjustability on the molecular weight of the polymer do not significantly decrease.

Catalyst system for the (co) polymerization of olefins

A catalyst for the polymerization of propylene comprising components (A), (B) and (C) is provided. Component (A) is a solid product prepared by dissolving a halide of magnesium in a solvent system consisting of an organic epoxy compound, an organic phosphorus compound and an inert diluent to form a homogeneous solution; mixing the homogeneous solution with a halide of titanium to form a mixture; precipitating a solid from the mixture in the presence of an auxiliary precipitant; treating the solid with a polycarboxylic ester to load the ester on the solid; and treating the ester loaded solid with the halide of titanium and the inert diluent. Component (B) is an organic aluminium compound, and component (C) is an organic silicon compound. The particle size of the catalyst can be adjusted by increasing the amount of the inert diluent at a low ratio of the epoxy compound to the phosphorus compound.

Catalyst for the polymerization of propylene and its use

A catalyst system for use in olefinic polymerization and copolymerization is comprised of components (A), (B) and (C). The catalyst component (A) consisting essentially of titanium, magnesium, halogen, polycarboxylic acid esters and organic phosphorus compounds is a solid product, being prepared by mixing titanium tetrahalide and auxiilary precipitant with a homogeneous solution of magnesium halide in a solvent system consisting essentially of an organic epoxy compound and an organic phosphorus compound to form a solid product which is then treated with a polycarboxylic acid ester and titanium tetrahalide. Component (B) is an organic aluminum compound, and component (C) is an organic silicon compound. The catalyst system has very high activity, and the resultant polymers have very high stereospecificity and good granular appearance.

Catalyst system for use in olefinic polymerization

A catalyst system for use in olefinic polymerization and copolymerization is comprised of components (A), (B) and (C). The catalyst component (A) consisting essentially of titanium, magnesium, halogen, polycarboxylic acid esters and organic phosphorus compounds is a solid product, being prepared by mixing titanium tetrahalide and auxiliary precipitant with a homogeneous solution of magnesium halide in a solvent system consisting essentially of an organic epoxy compound and an organic phosphorus compound to form a solid product which is then treated with a polycarboxylic acid ester and titanium tetrahalide. Component (B) is an organic aluminum compound, and component (C) is an organic silicon compound. The catalyst system has a very high activity, and the resultant polymers have very high stereospecificity and good granular appearance.
