A wireless device in communication with a 5G base station may perform measurements and determine constraints relevant to beam selection. The device may select a recommended beam based on the measurements and constraint(s) and indicate the recommended beam to the base station. A recommended uplink beam may not correspond to a recommended downlink beam.

A cellular base station may provide downlink control information associated with a non-coherent joint transmission downlink data communication to a wireless device, which may receive the downlink control information. The downlink control information may be provided as a single downlink control information including scheduling information for two data streams of the non-coherent joint transmission data communication, or a portion of a multi-stage downlink control information transmission. A wireless device may comprise antennas and a processor configured to cause the wireless device to determine preferred antenna ports for at least one primary component carriers (PCCs) and at least one secondary component carriers (SCCs) based on performed downlink measurements of antenna ports. The wireless device may further determine support capabilities of the wireless device and perform computations using additional measurements of the antenna ports. Based on the computations, the wireless device may assign the preferred antenna ports to the PCCs and SCCs and perform uplink transmission using the assigned antenna ports.

A downlink control information (DCI), such as a blanking DCI (bDCI) message may be transmitted by a base station (e.g., eNB) and received by a mobile device (e.g., UE). The bDCI may indicate that the eNB will not transmit a subsequent DCI to the UE for a duration of time. The UE may be in continuous reception mode or connected discontinuous reception (C-DRX) mode. The UE may therefore determine to enter a sleep state or take other action. The bDCI may specify an explicit blanking duration, or an index indicating a blanking duration from a lookup table, and/or the blanking duration (and/or a blanking duration offset value) may be determined in advance, e.g., semi-statically. When the UE is in C-DRX mode, the UE may be configured such that either the sleep/wake period of the C-DRX mode or the blanking period of the bDCI may take precedence over the other.

Apparatuses, systems, and methods for a wireless device to perform methods for configuring a power savings signal in fifth generation (5G) new radio (NR) networks. The wireless device may transmit, to a base station within a network, power savings requirements and receiving, from the base station, a configuration of a power saving signal, where the configuration indicates one or more functionalities of the power saving signal. The wireless device may periodically receive, from the base station, the power saving signal and interpret the power saving signal based on the configuration. A device may obtain, through wireless signaling from a network, a time-domain wireless-resource allocation (TWRA) pattern allocated to the device by the network and corresponding to a future time interval (TTI) for which the device has not yet decoded corresponding control information. This disclosure relates to techniques for a wireless device to dynamically adapt its bandwidth use using network scheduling information in a cellular communication system. A radio resource control connection between a cellular base station and a wireless device may be established. The wireless device may receive network scheduling information from the cellular base station. The wireless device may dynamically select a receive bandwidth for receiving transmissions from the cellular base station based at least in part on the network scheduling information.
