The embodiments of the present disclosure disclose an adaptive communication system, communication method, communication terminal and Access Point (AP). The system includes: an application mode information obtaining module, configured to obtain information about the application mode supported by the network; and an AP, configured to: provide a communication terminal with application mode information obtained by the application mode information obtaining module, wherein the application mode information indicates the application mode supported by the network; and create a communication connection with the communication terminal based on the application mode negotiated and determined according to the information about the application mode supported by the communication terminal and the information about the application mode supported by the network. The embodiments of the present disclosure may make the most of the access resources, improve the success ratio of access, and reduce unnecessary delay and power consumption.

Adaptive communication system, communication terminal, communication method and access point

A method of location positioning of a Radio Access Point (AP) is provided in an embodiment of the present invention. The method includes: querying the Connectivity Session Location and Repository Function (CLF) according to the IP address of the AP to obtain the Access Line Location Identifier (ALLI) of the AP to access a network. The ALLI is configured to identify the line location of the AP. The location of the AP is determined on the basis of the ALLI. A method of location verification of an AP is provided herein in an embodiment of the present invention. The method includes: the CLF is queried according to the IP address of the AP to obtain the ALLI of the AP; the location of the AP is not changed if the obtained ALLI of the AP is the same as the stored ALLI of the AP. A home register and a system are also provided herein to accurately locate and verify the location of the AP, thus checking the validity of the AP location.

A wireless mesh network includes several mesh networks and the wireless mesh network access points to which the mesh networks belong. A method establishing backbone routing and network tolopogy among each wireless mesh network access points, selecting one said wireless mesh network access point as a location inquiry sever for all the mesh networks, and acquiring the corresponding relations between all the mesh networks in the wireless mesh network and the wireless mesh network access points to which the mesh networks belong. When said mesh network needs to transmit data, the access point inquires the location inquiry server for the wireless mesh network access point which the destination mesh network belongs to, and performs routing based on the network topology.

Disclosed is a method for controlling handoff by a network infrastructure, which includes collecting channel information and transmitting the channel information to a Mobile Terminal (MT) and a method for controlling handoff by a MT, which includes receiving channel information collected by a network infrastructure and making a handoff decision according to the channel information. The present invention also discloses apparatuses for controlling handoff. Applying the present invention, the handoff decision will be made based on both the information collected by the network infrastructure and the information collected by the MT, therefore blind handoff is reduced, the network workloads are balanced and the QoS is assured before and after the handoff.
