A flexible flat cable manufacturing system comprises a tape conveying device conveying an adhesive tape along a first direction, and a wire conveying device conveying a row of wires along a second direction perpendicular to the first direction and parallel to a width direction of the conveyed adhesive tape. A wire pressing device presses and pastes the part of the row of wires facing the adhesive tape onto the adhesive tape. A wire cutting device cuts the row of wires to obtain a row of wire segments pasted on the adhesive tape and separated from the row of wires and produces a flexible flat cable including the adhesive tape and the wire segments pasted on the adhesive tape.

A hot pressing machine for continuously hot pressing a flexible flat cable includes a plurality of hot pressing units arranged at intervals along a feeding direction of the flexible flat cable. A central controller of the machine is operably connected to the plurality of hot pressing units and is configured to control the plurality of hot pressing units to synchronously hot press the flexible flat cable located in the plurality of hot pressing units.

A cable tension control device includes a pair of first active rollers clamping a cable therebetween, a first driver driving the first active rollers, a pair of second active rollers clamping the cable therebetween at an upstream position from the first active rollers, a second driver driving the second active rollers, a floating roller arranged between the first active rollers and the second active rollers and exerting a pushing force on the cable, and an actuator driving the floating roller to move vertically to adjust the pushing force exerted on the cable. A tension force applied on the cable is controlled to be equal to a predetermined tension force by controlling the pushing force and by controlling a speed difference between a first speed at which the first active rollers convey the cable forward and a second speed at which the second active rollers convey the cable forward.

A flexible flat cable testing system includes a first connector including a row of first contacts electrically contacting first ends of a row of wires of a flexible flat cable, a second connector including a row of second contacts electrically contacting second ends of the row of wires, a short circuit test unit including output ports electrically connected to the row of first contacts and input ports electrically connected to the row of second contacts, a potential reader reading a potential level of each of the input ports, and a judgment unit determining whether or not a quality of the flexible flat cable is qualified according to the potential level of each of the input ports. The judgment unit determines that the quality of the flexible flat cable is qualified if the potential level of each of the input ports is equal to a high level output by each of the output ports.

Flexible flat cable testing system

A flexible strip assembly system includes a first conveyor conveying a first layer of material, a pick-up device picking up a conductor and placing the conductor at a predefined position on an upper surface of the first layer of material, a second conveyor conveying a second layer of material, and a first pair of guiding rollers. The conductor is conveyed under driving of the first layer of material. The first pair of guiding rollers press and stick the second layer of material to the first layer of material and the conductor on the upper surface of the first layer of material to form a flexible strip with the conductor clamped between the first layer of material and the second layer of material. At least one of the upper surface of the first layer of material and a lower surface of the second layer of material has an adhesive layer.
