Methods and apparatus of performing spatial relation switching in new radio (NR) system is proposed. In one embodiment, a configured spatial relation of an uplink channel is Quasi-Co-Located (QCLed) to the source of a downlink reference signal (DL RS). In this QCLed relation, the active spatial relation switching shall differentiate known and unknown situation. In another embodiment, the configured spatial relation is QCLed to the root source of an uplink sounding reference signal (SRS). In this QCLed relation, the active spatial relation switching does not need to differentiate known and unknown situation. The proposed spatial relation switching shall apply for physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH), physical uplink control channel (PUCCH), and SRS transmission.

Methods and apparatus of spatial relation switching in new radio system

Aspects of the disclosure provide an electronic device including processing circuitry and a method. The processing circuitry can determine whether a collision is scheduled in one of a set of carriers at a same time with an SRS transmission switching process including an SRS transmission scheduled in a current carrier in the set of carriers. The set of carriers is activated for the electronic device. When no collision is determined to be scheduled in the set of carriers at the same time with the SRS transmission switching process, the processing circuitry can determine a SRS interruption duration for a victim carrier to be interrupted by the SRS transmission switching process based on a SRS transmission switching duration, a timing between the SRS transmission switching process and the victim carrier, a numerology of the current carrier, and a numerology of the victim carrier and transmit the SRS transmission.

Electronic devices and methods for sounding reference signal (SRS) transmission switching

A method of two-stage sidelink control information (SCI) can include receiving a transport block, and transmitting from a transmission user equipment (Tx UE) to a reception user equipment (Rx UE) the transport block with two-stage SCI including a 1st-stage SCI and a 2nd-stage SCI. The 1st-stage SCI can be transmitted over a physical sidelink control channel (PSCCH). The 2nd-stage SCI and the transport block can share resources of a physical sidelink shared channel (PSSCH). The 2nd-stage SCI and the transport block can share a demodulation reference signal (DMRS).

Two-stage sidelink control information for sidelink communications

A method of activating multiple secondary cells can include receiving on a primary cell (PCell) at a user equipment (UE) a first medium access (MAC) control element (CE) for activating a first secondary cell (SCell) and a second SCell for the UE in a wireless communication system. The first and second SCells can operate in a same band. No active serving cell operates on the same band for the UE. In response to that the first SCell is a known SCell, the second SCell is an unknown SCell, and both the first and second SCells operate in the same band that is a frequency range 2 (FR2) band, the first and second SCells can be activated in parallel without performing cell search and reference signal received power (RSRP) measurement and reporting over the first and second SCells.

Secondary cell activation in new radio system

Apparatus and methods are provided for transmission prioritization between uplink and sidelink. In one novel aspect, transmission prioritization is performed between uplink data transmission and sidelink physical channel/signal transmissions, including feedback channel (PSFCH). In one embodiment, PSFCH transmission is prioritized over the UL transmission when the highest logic channel priority value of the UL transmission with available data is larger than a configured UL priority threshold. In another embodiment, the transmission of the PSFCH is prioritized over the transmission of the UL channel when the transmission of the PSFCH is prioritized over the transmission of the UL channel when a highest logic channel priority value of the UL transmission with available data is larger than a configured UL priority threshold and a highest logic channel priority value of the SL transmission for the transceiving SL channel is lower than a configured SL priority threshold; otherwise, the UL transmission is prioritized.

Transmission prioritization between uplink and sidelink

A method of sidelink communications can include receiving at a user equipment (UE) a configuration for a first resource pool indicating a first size of a first first-stage sidelink control information (SCI) in terms of a number of orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) symbols and a second size of the first first-stage SCI in terms of a number of physical resource blocks (PRBs). The first resource pool can be divided into slots in time domain and sub-channels each occupying a set of PRBs in frequency domain. The first first-stage SCI having the first size of the number of OFDM symbols and the second size of the number of PRBs indicated by the configuration for the first resource pool can be transmitted within a first slot and a first sub-channel of the first resource pool.

Radio sidelink communications

Aspects of the disclosure provide an apparatus, which can include a receiving circuitry and a processing circuitry. The receiving circuitry can be configured to receive a configuration indicating that a preconfigured number of consecutive symbols within a slot are used for a sidelink transmission. The receiving circuitry can be further configured to receive the sidelink transmission over the preconfigured number of consecutive symbols within the slot. The processing circuitry can be configured to process a data transmission of the sidelink transmission received over the preconfigured number of consecutive symbols within the slot. Aspects of the disclosure also provide a method.

Channel structure design for V2X communication

A method is provided for TCI switching related to CSI-RS measurement and reporting, spatial relation switch for SRS, PUSCH, and PUCCH. The PDSCH and PDCCH are received according to the QCLed aperiodic CSI-RS. When the AP CSI-RS is configured as the reference in the TCI of PDSCH, UE may apply the updated TCI for the PDSCH, after the corresponding aperiodic report has been received at the network. Spatial relation switch is based on the valid measurement report. The spatial relation switch delay of aperiodic SRS can be performed when UE has sent the corresponding measurement report to the network.

Method for channel state indication-reference signal configuration update and spatial indication switch

Aspects of the disclosure provide a method and an apparatus for synchronization to a common synchronization reference source. For example, the apparatus can include receiving circuitry and processing circuitry. The receiving circuitry can be configured to receive from a BS a signaling indicating a timing offset between sidelink synchronization timings of the apparatus and a GNSS. The processing circuitry can be configured to adjust the sidelink synchronization timing of the apparatus based on the timing offset.

The method can include receiving a request over a serving cell to report Cell Global Identifier (CGI) information of a target cell to a network node, and decoding system information to acquire the CGI information of the target cell by using Synchronization Signal Block (SSB) and Remaining Minimum System Information (RMSI) occasions in Discontinuous Reception (DRX) off duration of the serving cell, using at least one autonomous gap in data reception and transmission of the serving cell, or using at least one specific gap to interrupt data reception and transmission in DRX on durations of the serving cell. Subsequently, the CGI information of the target cell can be transmitted to the network node.

Methods and apparatus for CGI reading in NR system

Aspects of the disclosure provide a method for radio resource management (RRM) measurement and channel estimation. Channel estimation method, channel estimation apparatus and communication device for CDMA systems

The present invention provides a code channel activation method, a code channel activation device, a computer program and a storage medium, so as to solve the problem in the prior art that performance loss of a receiver will be caused when performing code channel activation. The method comprises calculating correlation between interference code channels on which code channel activation is to be performed and a user code channel, and correlation between the user code channels, to obtain correlation results; and performing code channel activation according to the correlation results. According to the present invention, the code channel activation is performed according to the correlation between the code channels. As a result, it is able to reserve the code channels with more information, thereby to prevent the performance loss of the receiver.
