An improved gate drive circuit is provided for a power device, such as a transistor. The gate driver circuit may include: a current control circuit; a first secondary current source that is used to control the switching transient during turn off of the power transistor and a second secondary current source that is used to control the switching transient during turn on of the power transistor. In operation, the current control circuit operates, during turn on of the power transistor, to source a gate drive current to a control node of the power transistor and, during turn off of the power transistor, to sink a gate drive current from the control node of the power transistor. The first and second secondary current sources adjust the gate drive current to control the voltage or current rate of change and thereby the overshoot during the switching transient.

High efficiency gate drive circuit for power transistors

A control device for an electric motor driving apparatus, configured with a switching control unit that performs rectangular wave control in which a plurality of switching elements provided in a direct current-alternating current conversion unit are ON/OFF-controlled to output rectangular wave-shaped voltages of a plurality of phases. System voltage varies during execution of the rectangular wave control, the switching control unit performs rectangular wave width adjustment control to set ON/OFF timings of the plurality of switching elements on the basis of a rate of change of the system voltage such that time-integrated values of the rectangular wave-shaped voltages of the respective phases within a control period set at a length corresponding to an integral multiple of a single electrical angle period are substantially identical among the respective phases.

Control device for electric motor driving apparatus

A motor control device that has a high-frequency component, and a DC bias component that has a magnitude which causes a motor to be magnetically saturated and take on a certain value over a predetermined period, and is positively and negatively symmetrical are impressed as an observation command on a d-axis current command. The polarity of the magnetic pole of a permanent magnet is identified based on a relationship of large and small magnitudes between a first amplitude, which is attained during a period during which a DC bias component takes on a positive certain value, among amplitudes of a high-frequency component contained in a d-axis response voltage computed based on a feedback current respondent to the observation command, and a second amplitude attained during a period during which the DC bias component takes on a negative certain value.

Motor control device

A control device that controls an electric motor drive device. The control device is configured with a first voltage control section that derives a modulation rate representing a ratio of an effective value of the voltage command values to the DC voltage and a voltage command phase. A second voltage control section generates a control signal for controlling the DC/AC conversion section on the basis of the modulation rate, the voltage command phase, and a magnetic pole position representing a rotational angle of a rotator of the AC electric motor. A computation cycle of the first voltage control section is set to be longer than a computation cycle of the second voltage control section.

A sensorless motor control device includes a magnetic pole position estimating unit that does not use a sensor to detect a magnetic pole position of a motor having a salient rotor, and overlays a high-frequency current on the motor to estimate the magnetic pole position of the rotor of the motor; and a high-frequency current control unit for changing a magnitude of the high-frequency current based on a magnitude of one of a torque and a current of the motor.

An electric motor control device includes a power supply unit that supplies power to a three-phase electric motor; a three-phase current sensor that individually detects three respective phase currents of the three-phase electric motor; a summing unit that calculates a three-phase sum by adding the three phase currents detected by the three-phase current sensor; a detected current correction unit that calculates correction amounts for at least two of the three phase currents based on a phase and an amplitude of the three-phase sum and then corrects phase current detection values by the calculated correction amounts; and a motor control unit that controls a power supply by the power supply unit to the three-phase electric motor by feedback control based on the three phase currents after correction by the detected current correction unit and on target currents.

An electric drive control apparatus and method calculates a current command value based on an electric machine target torque that represents a target value of a torque of an electric machine; calculates a current deviation between the current command value and a current applied to the electric machine; calculates a first inductance and a second inductance that each have a different amount of change caused by a change in the current; calculates an interference term based on the first inductance; calculates a proportional term and an integral term based on the current deviation and the second inductance; and calculates a voltage command value based on the interference term, the proportional term and the integral term.

A general-purpose comparator can be used as a comparison processing module to reduce the costs of a motor drive control apparatus. The apparatus has an electric machine; a magnetic pole position computation processing module; a pattern generation processing module; a switching angle computation processing module which computes a switching angle where switching is done in a next control period based on a pulse pattern; a comparison processing module which compares the magnetic pole position with the computed switching angle to generate a comparison signal; and an on-off output processing module which generates a PWM signal based on the comparison signal indicative of the comparison result. In this case, because the magnetic pole position is compared with the computed switching angle to generate the PWM signal based on the comparison signal, a general-purpose comparator can be used as the comparison processing module.

An electrically operated drive controller includes first and second electric current command value calculation processors, for calculating first and second electric current command values from a target value of torque of an electrically operated machine; a voltage command value calculation processor, for calculating a voltage command value from the first and second electric current command values; and first and second adjusting value calculation processor, for calculating first and second adjusting values. The first electric current command value calculation processor includes first electric current command value adjustment processors, for adjusting the first electric current command value by the first adjusting value, and an electric current limit processor, for limiting the adjusted first electric current command value. The second electric current command value calculation processor includes a second electric current command value adjustment processor, for adjusting the second electric current command value by the second adjusting value.

Electrically operated drive controller, electrically operated drive control method and its program

An electrically operated drive controller includes first and second electric current command value calculation means which calculate first and second electric current command values based on a target value of torque of an electrically operated machine. The controller also includes a voltage command value calculation processing means which calculates a voltage command value based on the first and second electric current command values and an adjusting value calculation processing means for calculating an adjusting value of the first electric current command value and for performing weak field control based on the voltage command value. The first electric current command value calculation processor adjusts the first electric current command value based on the adjusting value. The second electric current command value calculation processor adjusts the second electric current command value based on the adjusted first electric current command value.

In switching between asynchronous PWM control and synchronous PWM control, control can be simplified. An apparatus has a first pulse pattern generation processing module which generates a synchronous PWM signal in a first pulse pattern formed of multiple pulses defined in accordance with two or more parameters based on a voltage command value, and a second pulse pattern generation processing module which generates a synchronous PWM signal in a second pulse pattern formed of a single pulse. The first pulse pattern generation processing module modifies the individual parameters in switching pulse patterns between the first pulse pattern and the second pulse pattern. The individual parameters are modified to move the pulse patterns, and thus control can be simplified.
