Various embodiments of the present disclosure provide a method for random access. The method which may be performed by a terminal device comprises performing a first transmission of a message from the terminal device to a network node in a random access procedure, according to first configuration information. The first transmission of the message comprises a transmission of a first preamble and a transmission of a payload on a shared channel. The method further comprises performing a second transmission of the message from the terminal device to the network node in the random access procedure, according to second configuration information. The second transmission of the message comprises at least one of: a transmission of a second preamble and a retransmission of the payload on the shared channel.

Method and apparatus for random access

The present disclosure described systems and methods for providing OTT services to a UE. An exemplary OTT-providing host computer includes a transceiver, a processor, and memory collective configured to provide the OTT service by initiating transmission of user data to the UE. To transmit the user data from the host computer to the wireless device, a network node sends a first control message for assigning a PDSCH, the first control message comprising a first MCS indication as described. The network node sends to the wireless device a second control message for assigning a PDSCH, the second control message comprising a second MCS indication as described. A system and method for providing time domain allocations in a communication system. In an embodiment, an apparatus operable in a communication system and including processing circuitry is configured to receive an indication of a time domain allocation in downlink control information associated with a radio network temporary identifier ('RNTI') identifying the apparatus, and employ the time domain allocation associated with the RNTI for transmissions associated with the apparatus. In another embodiment, an apparatus operable in a communication system and including processing circuitry is configured to associate a time domain allocation with a RNTI identifying a user equipment, and provide an indication of the time domain allocation in downlink control information to allow the user equipment to employ the time domain allocation associated with the RNTI for transmissions associated therewith.

Embodiments of the present disclosure provide methods, apparatus and computer program products for transmitting and receiving an uplink signal on physical control channel. A method comprises: determining that a terminal device has a capability of transmitting the uplink signal on physical control channel in at least a first time instant and a second time instant coherently; performing a first transmission of the uplink signal on physical control channel in the first time instant in a first set of subcarriers; and performing a second transmission of the uplink signal on physical control channel in the second time instant in a second set of subcarriers.

Embodiments of the present disclosure provide methods and apparatuses for random access procedure. A method at a user equipment (UE) comprises selecting a synchronization signal and physical broadcast channel block (SSB) with a signal measured metric satisfying a criterion. The method further comprises transmitting a first message including a random access channel (RACH) preamble on a RACH occasion and data on an uplink shared channel (USCH) to a base station. The RACH preamble and the RACH occasion are selected based on a mapping of the SSB to the RACH preamble and the RACH occasion. Various embodiments of the present disclosure provide a method for random access. The method which may be performed by a terminal device comprises determining a interlace configuration for uplink shared channel transmission to a network node in a two-step contention-free random access procedure. The method further comprises performing the uplink shared channel transmission to the network node in the two-step contention-free random access procedure, according to the determined interlace configuration. According to some embodiments of the present disclosure, the interlaced resource allocation for uplink shared channel transmission may be configured for a two-step contention-free random access procedure in a flexible and efficient way, so that the performance of the random access procedure can be improved.

According to some embodiments, a method performed by a wireless device for transmitting multiple layers of an uplink physical channel comprises transmitting to a network node an indication of a capability to operate according to a first mode of operation and a second mode of operation. In the first mode a codebook subset comprises precoding matrices with at most one non-zero elements per column, and in the second mode the codebook subset comprises precoding matrices with at most two non-zero elements per column. The codebook subset is in a codebook for use when transform precoding of a physical channel is disabled. The method further comprises receiving a configuration from the network node for a selected mode of operation, and transmitting the physical channel using transform precoding and, at least when transmitting with two layers, using the codebook subset comprising the precoding matrices of the selected mode.
