An apparatus for collecting carbon dioxide from flue gas of a power plant. The apparatus includes an absorption tower, a sedimentation pool including slanting boards, a regeneration tower, a gas-liquid separator, a desiccator, a compressor, and a condenser. A rich solution is adapted to flow from a bottom of the absorption tower into the sedimentation pool for stratification. A gas outlet of the gas-liquid separator is in series connection with the desiccator, the compressor, the condenser, and a liquid carbon dioxide storage tank.

Method and apparatus for collecting carbon dioxide from flue gas

A device for converting carbon dioxide in flue gas into natural gas using dump energy. The device includes a transformer and rectifier device, an electrolytic cell, a turbine, a carbon dioxide heater, a primary fixed bed reactor, a secondary fixed bed reactor, a natural gas condenser, and a process water line. An outlet of the transformer and rectifier device is connected to a power interface of the electrolytic cell, a gas-liquid outlet of a cathode of the electrolytic cell is connected to a gas-liquid inlet of a hydrogen separator, and a liquid outlet of the hydrogen separator is connected to a liquid reflux port of the cathode of the electrolytic cell.

Method and device for converting carbon dioxide in flue gas into natural gas

A method for collecting carbon dioxide from flue gas of a power plant. The method includes: 1) mixing an organic amine, an ionic liquid, and water to obtain an aqueous solution of a composite absorbent; 2) spraying the aqueous solution of the composite absorbent into the flue gas to allow the flue gas flowing upwardly to fully contact with the downwardly sprayed aqueous solution of the composite absorbent and to allow COin the flue gas to react with the composite absorbent to yield a solution rich in A.COand B.CO, where A represents the organic amine and B represents the ionic liquid; allowing the solution rich in A.COand B.COto stand and clarify to form different liquid layers; 3) thermally decomposing the mixed solution rich in A.COand B.COafter heat exchange to release the chemically bound CO.

A method for removal of metal ions from rice hulls. The method includes: 1) providing a water storage reactor, and disposing a gas dispersion device at the bottom of the water storage reactor; 2) bagging rice hulls, placing it in the water storage reactor, and pressing down on the bagged rice hulls to be lower than a water surface in the water storage reactor; 3) spraying industrial flue gas into the water storage reactor; controlling the amount of the industrial flue gas such that about 1 g of carbon dioxide is dissolved per 100 g of water, thus generating a carbonic acid solution; 4) allowing the carbonic acid solution to react with metal ions in the rice hulls to yield a precipitate; and 5) washing the rice hulls collected in step 4), washing again with desalinated water, and then squeezing the rice hulls.

A catalyst for methanation of carbon dioxide, a method of preparing the catalyst, and a method of hydrogenating carbon dioxide in the presence of the catalyst in a fixed bed reactor are disclosed. The catalyst is formed by mixing ash from a biomass power plant with a nickel compound and calcining the resulting mixture. The catalyst formed by calcination includes between 2 and 20 wt. % of nickel supported on ash from combusting biomass.
