Embodiments of the present invention relate to a self-driving method and an apparatus. The method includes: sending, by a first vehicle, lane change request information and first real-time information to a network device; receiving, by the first vehicle, lane change indication information sent by the network device, where the lane change indication information is determined by the network device according to the first real-time information and second real-time information that is sent by a second vehicle, and the lane change indication information indicates that the first vehicle is allowed to perform lane change; and changing, by the first vehicle, from the first lane to the second lane according to the lane change indication information.

The method includes obtaining, by an in-vehicle terminal, satellite positioning data of a vehicle, receiving a differential positioning correction from a radio base station in a wireless network, and correcting the satellite positioning data using the differential positioning correction to obtain a high-precision location of the vehicle; providing, by the server, a lane level planning driving route to the in-vehicle terminal according to the high-precision location provided by the in-vehicle terminal and with reference to high-precision map information; and controlling, by the in-vehicle terminal according to the obtained high-precision location, the vehicle to automatically drive according to the lane level planning driving route. A satellite differential positioning technology based on wireless network assistance can be used, and round-the-clock and all-road-condition automatic driving navigation is implemented.

The present invention provides a navigation system, apparatus, and method. The navigation system includes a global navigation apparatus, a first roadside navigation apparatus, and a terminal navigation apparatus. The terminal navigation apparatus is configured to send, to the global navigation apparatus, a global path request used to request for a road-level global path. The global navigation apparatus is configured to: determine the global path according to the global path request, and send, to the terminal navigation apparatus, first indication information used to indicate the global path. The first roadside navigation apparatus is configured to: determine a lane-level local path according to the global path, and send, to the terminal navigation apparatus, second indication information used to indicate the local path.
