A method and apparatus of driving a display panel, and a display device. The display panel includes a transparent display area and a non-transparent display area and a plurality of pixels formed on the display panel. In one or more embodiments, the method includes: determining a first type of picture data to be displayed in the non-transparent display area and a second type of picture data to be displayed in the transparent display area in picture data of a frame of picture; performing a sub-pixel rendering operation on the first type of picture data to obtain first rendered picture data; driving the non-transparent display area according to the first rendered picture data; and driving the transparent display area according to the second type of picture data.

A display device and an OLED array substrate, the OLED array substrate includes a non-transparent display area and a transparent area, wherein the non-transparent area is provided with first OLED sub-pixels arranged in a first array and the transparent display area is provided with second OLED sub-pixels arranged in a second array; the first OLED sub-pixels are driven by a part of data signal channels of a display driver integrated chip, the second OLED sub-pixels are driven by a remaining part of the data signal channels of the display driver integrated chip; data in all the data signal channels correspond to one frame of screen display in the display area; when the second OLED sub-pixels are driven, the transparent display area performs a display function; when the second OLED sub-pixels are not driven, the transparent display area performs a light transmitting function.

The present disclosure provides a display device and a display panel thereof, and a pixel drive circuit of a display panel. By changing a width-to-length ratio of a drive transistor in the pixel drive circuit of each sub-pixel, or changing a capacitance of a storage capacitor at the same time, such that: under the same gray scale, the width-to-length ratio of a drive transistor of each sub-pixel in same color is in direct proportion to a drive current; or at the same time a charging saturation of a storage capacitor of each sub-pixel in same color is the same, and the capacitance of the storage capacitor of each sub-pixel in same color is in direct proportion to the drive current, and the charging saturation is a difference value between an actual charging voltage and a theoretical charging voltage of the storage capacitor when a charging phase ends.
