The information receiving method includes: A terminal device receives first configuration information from a network device, where the first configuration information carries precoding indication information of each resource unit of N resource units allocated to the terminal device; and the terminal device performs precoding processing on uplink data carried on each resource unit by a precoding matrix corresponding to the precoding indication information of each resource unit, based on the first configuration information. In this method, the terminal device determines, based on the precoding indication information, a quantity N and sizes of the resource units obtained through division.
