Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for multi-carrier on-off keying communications. A method for wireless communications by an apparatus includes receiving a signal comprising multiple carrier frequencies modulated with on-off keying; decoding the signal based at least in part on a delta frequency being associated with a first carrier frequency and a second carrier frequency among the multiple carrier frequencies; and recovering data from the decoded signal.

The method comprises: splitting a first individual message associated with a first device into at least a first common part and a first private part; splitting a second individual message associated with a second device into at least a second common part and a second private part; combining the first common part and the second common part to provide a common message; assigning a common group identifier to a group of devices comprising the first device and the second device; processing the common message, wherein the processing comprises scrambling the common message using the common group identifier; and transmitting the processed common message to the group of devices.

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In a wireless communications system, a user equipment (UE) may receive a first downlink control message indicating a set of parameters for a scheduling request for the UE. The UE may then receive on a receive beam a second downlink control message, which may be a layer 1 signal, and determine uplink resources for the scheduling request and a transmission configuration indicator state for the scheduling request. The UE may transmit, to the base station, the scheduling request using the uplink resources.

For instance, a user equipment (UE) can perform federated learning to generate a first set of updated model parameters corresponding to a machine learning model. In some cases, the UE can receive a request for the first set of updated model parameters from a network entity, wherein the request includes a resource allocation associated with an uplink channel. In some examples, the UE can determine a signal phase corresponding to the uplink channel. In some aspects, the UE can transmit, based on the signal phase, the first set of updated model parameters using the resource allocation on the uplink channel.

In an aspect, a PDCCH and a PDSCH are transmitted by a BS to a UE, whereby the PDDCH includes a first DCI part and the PDSCH includes a second DCI part. In an example, a TBS associated with the PDSCH may be determined (e.g., either by factoring or ignoring resource elements associated with the second DCI part). In another example, the PDSCH may be associated with a modulation scheme with a constellation having constellation points, whereby the second DCI part in the PDSCH is restricted to a subset of the constellation points. Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A wireless device may generate a orthogonal time frequency space (OTFS) waveform for transmission to a second wireless device. Generation of an OTFS waveform may include mapping information samples to a delay-Doppler resource grid having a set of delay values and a set of Doppler values. A channel estimation block may occupy one or more rows of the delay-Doppler grid. When mapping information samples to the delay-Doppler grid, the transmitting device may first map information samples in the delay dimension (e.g., first map all of the symbols in one column of the delay-Doppler grid before mapping information samples into a second column). Such a mapping scheme may reduce the distance from any given information sample to the channel estimation block.

Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for frequency tracking and timing tracking using wideband reference signals (RSs). A method that may be performed by a user equipment (UE) includes monitoring for a wideband RS from a network entity when one or more conditions are met, the wideband RS occupying a wider band of frequency resources than a tracking reference signal (TRS) transmitted by the network entity; and performing at least one of frequency tracking or timing tracking based on the monitoring.

A user equipment (UE) and a base station may communicate in an unlicensed spectrum (e.g., a shared radio frequency spectrum band). As such, the UE may determine a codebook size for transmitting hybrid access request (HARQ) acknowledgement (ACK) feedback with respect to the unlicensed spectrum. Accordingly, the UE may base the HARQ ACK codebook size on a number of HARQ processes with which the UE has been configured. Additionally or alternatively, the UE may base the HARQ ACK codebook size on a number and/or duration of downlink channel monitoring occasions indicated by the base station. In some cases, the UE may base the HARQ ACK codebook size on a combination of the techniques described herein.
