Disclosed is a method of wireless communication. The method is performed at a user equipment (UE). The method comprises receiving, from a network entity, downlink control information (DCI) for a downlink transmission, wherein the downlink transmission is based on a rate-splitting multiple access scheme, and wherein the downlink transmission comprises a common stream, a demodulation reference signal (DM-RS) for the common stream, a private stream and a DM-RS for the private stream, determining, based on the DCI, a DM-RS configuration for the DM-RS for the common stream and for the DM-RS for the private stream, and receiving, based on the DM-RS configuration, the downlink transmission.

A configuration to allow for scheduling communication with a UE having associated characteristics based on a timing indication. The apparatus receives, from a UE, a timing indication associated with a bandwidth, a subcarrier spacing, or a waveform. The timing indication identifying a delay duration based on a processing timeline for the UE. The apparatus receives from the UE, or transmits to the UE, a first data channel having the bandwidth, the subcarrier spacing, or the waveform scheduled based on the timing indication. The first data channel is transmitted or received at a first time based on the timing indication.

A method for wireless communication performed by a user equipment (UE) includes receiving, from a network node, a message indicating a set of multi-slot monitoring configurations supported by a base station based on a minimum monitoring occasion periodicity associated with a search space being greater than or equal to one slot. The method also includes transmitting, to the network node, a selection message indicating selection of a single multi-slot monitoring configuration from the set of multi-slot monitoring configurations. Demodulation reference signal design for large sub-carrier spacing

In an aspect, a PDCCH and a PDSCH are transmitted by a BS to a UE, whereby the PDDCH includes a first DCI part and the PDSCH includes a second DCI part. In an example, a TBS associated with the PDSCH may be determined (e.g., either by factoring or ignoring resource elements associated with the second DCI part). In another example, the PDSCH may be associated with a modulation scheme with a constellation having constellation points, whereby the second DCI part in the PDSCH is restricted to a subset of the constellation points. In another example, rate-matching may be performed for one or more resource elements of the second DCI part.

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A wireless device may generate a orthogonal time frequency space (OTFS) waveform for transmission to a second wireless device. Generation of an OTFS waveform may include mapping information samples to a delay-Doppler resource grid having a set of delay values and a set of Doppler values. A channel estimation block may occupy one or more rows of the delay-Doppler grid. When mapping information samples to the delay-Doppler grid, the transmitting device may first map information samples in the delay dimension (e.g., first map all of the symbols in one column of the delay-Doppler grid before mapping information samples into a second column). Such a mapping scheme may reduce the distance from any given information sample to the channel estimation block.

Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for frequency tracking and timing tracking using wideband reference signals (RSs). A method that may be performed by a user equipment (UE) includes monitoring for a wideband RS from a network entity when one or more conditions are met, the wideband RS occupying a wider band of frequency resources than a tracking reference signal (TRS) transmitted by the network entity; and performing at least one of frequency tracking or timing tracking based on the monitoring.

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) and a base station may communicate in an unlicensed spectrum (e.g., a shared radio frequency spectrum band). As such, the UE may determine a codebook size for transmitting hybrid access request (HARQ) acknowledgement (ACK) feedback with respect to the unlicensed spectrum. Accordingly, the UE may base the HARQ ACK codebook size on a number of HARQ processes with which the UE has been configured. Additionally or alternatively, the UE may base the HARQ ACK codebook size on a number and/or duration of downlink channel monitoring occasions indicated by the base station. In some cases, the UE may base the HARQ ACK codebook size on a combination of the techniques described herein.

This disclosure provides systems, methods, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media, for enabling user equipment (UE) and a base station (BS) to communicate using a set of frequency resources in which a subset of frequency resources include a phase tracking reference signal (PTRS). In one aspect, the UE may measure the PTRS in the subset of frequency resources, and select a phase noise compensation that is used to demodulate a communication from the BS. The subset of frequency resources may be selected from the set frequency resources based on channel conditions of different subsets of frequency resources. The BS may provide an indication of the selected subset of frequency resources to the UE, such as in control information that schedules the communication from the BS.

Frequency selective phase tracking reference signal (PTRS) allocation

Aspects presented herein may enable a UE to limit MCS and/or K1 offset used for communicating with a base station to a threshold based at least in part on an SCS used for the communication. In one aspect, a UE limit at least one of an MCS to being less than or equal to an MCS threshold or a K1 offset to being greater than or equal to a K1 offset threshold based on a subcarrier spacing selected for communication with a base station, the K1 offset being a number of slots between receiving DL data and transmitting ACK/NACK feedback. The UE communicate with the base station based at least on one of the MCS being less than or equal to the MCS threshold or the K1 offset being greater than or equal to the K1 offset threshold.

In some aspects, a reader device may transmit a delta message that indicates a frequency difference between a data tone frequency for the reader device and a helper tone frequency. In some systems, a user equipment (UE) may measure a frequency selectivity of a channel between the UE and a base station and may transmit signaling to the base station indicating one or both of a frequency selectivity metric or a recommended demodulation reference signal (DMRS) port multiplexing pattern based on measuring the frequency selectivity. In some aspects, the UE may transmit the signaling to assist the base station in configuring a DMRS port multiplexing pattern based on current channel conditions. For example, if the frequency selectivity metric satisfies a threshold, the UE may recommend a DMRS port multiplexing pattern absent of code division multiplexing (CDM). Alternatively, if the frequency selectivity metric fails to satisfy the threshold, the UE may recommend a DMRS port multiplexing patter including CDM.

Techniques for providing UE-assistance for a selection of a demodulation reference signal port multiplexing pattern

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A wireless device such as a user equipment (UE) may receive, from a scheduling device such as a base station, control signaling which indicates a semi-persistent scheduling (SPS) configuration scheduling a burst of multiple downlink shared channel transmission opportunities during an SPS interval. Based on receiving the SPS configuration, the UE may receive downlink signaling from the base station in a downlink shared channel transmission opportunity of the SPS interval. In some other aspects, a UE may receive control signaling which indicates a configured grant (CG) that schedules a burst of multiple uplink shared channel transmission opportunities during a CG timing interval. Based on receiving the CG, the UE may transmit uplink signaling to the base station in an uplink shared channel transmission opportunity indicated by the CG.

Semi-persistent scheduling and configured grants configuring bursts of multiple transmission opportunities

Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive a grant that schedules multiple downlink communications, wherein the grant includes multiple start and length indicator values (SLIVs) that indicate respective time domain resource allocations (TDRAs) for the multiple downlink communications and a feedback timing indicator that indicates timing of uplink feedback communications for the multiple downlink communications. The UE may determine that there is a conflict between a timing of a first uplink feedback communication for a first downlink communication of the multiple downlink communications and a TDRA for a second downlink communication of the multiple downlink communications. The UE may adjust at least one of the TDRA for the second downlink communication or the timing of the first uplink feedback communication. Numerous other aspects are provided.
