A cooling fan () includes a fan housing (), a stator (), a rotor () and a bearing assembly (). A tube () extends upwardly from a central portion of the fan housing. The stator is mounted around the tube. The bearing assembly includes a ball bearing () and a sleeve bearing () received in two ends of the tube, respectively. The rotor has a shaft () extending into and rotatably supported by the bearing assembly. An elastic element () is arranged on the ball bearing to provide a pressing force on the ball bearing toward the sleeve bearing. An oil retaining element () is arranged around a bottom end of the shaft and spaced from the shaft. The oil retaining element is attached to the sleeve bearing to provide oil for the sleeve bearing.

Cooling fan

A cooling fan includes a fan housing and a stator and an impeller received in the fan housing. The fan housing includes a frame and a mounting portion located in the frame. The stator is received in the frame and mounted to the mounting portion. The impeller is mounted to the stator and rotatable with respect to the stator. The impeller includes a hub and a plurality of blades extending radially and outwardly from the hub. Each of the blades includes an inner end connected with the hub and an outer end distant from the hub. Each of the blades forms a tab on the outer end at the end surface.

A heat dissipation fan includes a fan frame, a bearing assembly, a stator and a rotor. The fan frame includes a base and a central tube. The central tube includes an open top end and an open bottom end. The base defines a receiving concave at a bottom surface thereof. The receiving concave communicates with the central hole. A top wall is formed by the base over the concave. A sidewall is formed between the top wall and the bottom surface of the base and surrounds the concave. A plurality of first locking units extend from the top wall into the receiving concave. The bearing assembly includes an oil sealing cover for sealing the open bottom end of the central tube. The oil sealing cover includes a plurality of second locking units which are detachably interlocked with the first locking units to mount the oil sealing cover to the base.

Heat dissipation fan

A fan frame () includes a bracket () and a base (). The bracket includes a sidewall (). An air inlet () is defined in a top side of the sidewall. An opposite air outlet () is defined in a bottom side of the sidewall. A plurality of first locking units () are formed on the sidewall. The base includes a main body (), a plurality of ribs () and a plurality of second locking units (). Each rib has a fixed end () connected with the main body, and an opposite free end (). Each second locking unit is formed at the free end of a corresponding rib. The second locking units are detachably interlocked with the first locking units to mount the base to the bracket thereby to form the fan frame. The bracket and base are formed by materials having different strengths.

Fan frame and heat dissipation fan incorporating the fan frame

A cooling fan () includes a fan housing (), a stator (), a rotor () and a bearing assembly (). A tube () extends upwardly from a central portion of the fan housing. The stator is mounted around the tube. The bearing assembly includes a ball bearing () and a sleeve bearing () received in two ends of the tube, respectively. The rotor has a shaft () extending into and roratably supported by the bearing assembly. A heat dissipation device () includes an electric fan () and a heat sink (). The fan includes a fan impeller () which includes a hub () and a plurality of blades () extending radially and outwardly from the hub (). The hub () includes an upper portion () and a bottom portion (). An air inlet () is formed near the upper portion () and an air outlet () is formed near the bottom portion (). The blades () have portions on the bottom portion of the hub which are extended toward a center of the air outlet for driving more air to the center of the air outlet (), whereby more air can flow to a center of the heat sink.

Fan impeller and heat dissipating device incorporating the same

A fan motor includes a frame () and a motor (). The frame includes a supporting plate () and a central tube (). A pair of arms () extends upwardly from the supporting plate and spaces from each other to form a gap () therebetween. Each arm has a barb () at a top end thereof. The motor includes a circuit board () and a stator (). The stator defines an axial hole () for receiving the central tube therein. The circuit board defines a fixing hole () therein corresponding to the pair of arms. The pair of arms extend through the fixing hole with the barbs of the pair of arms abutting on the circuit board. A pin () is inserted into the gap between the pair of the arms.

Fan motor with mounting structure

A cooling fan includes a fan housing () having a central tube () extending upwardly therefrom, a bearing () received in the central tube, a stator () mounted around the central tube, a rotor (), and a cover (). The bearing defines a bearing hole () therein. The rotor includes a hub (), a plurality of blades () extending outwardly from the hub, and a shaft () extending downwardly from the hub into the bearing hole of the bearing. The cover is mounted around the shaft and arranged on the bearing to seal a top end of the bearing. The cover is made of powders by sintering and thus has a plurality of pores to generate capillary force to absorb lubricant oil leaking out of the bearing.

A mounting structure for a motor includes a tube and a stator. The tube includes at least an axial positioning block and at least a radial mounting block. The stator defines an axis hole for receiving a portion of the tube therein, and at least a positioning groove in an inner surface thereof. One of the stator and the tube is rotated from an unlock position, where the at least an axial positioning block is located just above the at least a positioning groove, to a locked position, where a bottom surface of the at least an axial positioning block abuts a top surface of the stator and the at least a radial mounting block engages with the inner surface of the stator.

Mounting structure for a stator of a motor

A fan frame includes a main body () and conducting wires () secured on the main body. The main body has a securing tab () extending from an outer surface thereof. The securing tab has a free end. A groove () for the wires to extend through is defined between the securing tab and the outer surface of the main body. At least a block () extends from the outer surface of the main body. A space () for receiving the wires therein is defined between the block, the securing tab and the outer surface of the main body. A guiding surface () is formed on the block from a bottom end towards a top end of the block for guiding the wires to move into the space.

Fan frame

A mounting structure for a motor includes a central tube (), a supporting plate () and a motor-stator (). The central tube includes two positioning blocks (). The supporting plate includes a mounting block (). The motor-stator includes a printed circuit board () and a stator (). The stator defines an axis hole () for receiving a portion of the tube therein and two positioning grooves () in an inner surface thereof. The printed circuit board defines a cutout () therein. One of the stator and the tube is rotated from an unlocked position, where the positioning blocks are located just above the positioning grooves and the mounting block is received in the cutout, to a locked position, where a bottom surface of the positioning blocks abut against a top surface of the stator and the mounting block leaves the cutout and engages with the printed circuit board.

Mounting structure for a stator of a motor- stator

A heat dissipating fan includes a housing (), a stator (), a rotor () and a buffer structure. The housing defines an accommodating space () and includes a hollow tube (). The tube encloses first and second bearings () therein. The stator is arranged in the accommodating space and around the tube. The rotor has a shaft rotatably disposed in the first and the second bearings. The buffer structure includes at least a pair of magnets () received in the tube and located between the first and second bearings. Repellent force is generated between the magnets, thereby preventing at least one of the first and the second bearing from being damaged by an accidental force acting thereon.

Buffer structure for heat dissipating fan

A cooling fan includes a fan housing () having a central tube () extending upwardly thereof, a bearing () received in the central tube, a stator () mounted around the central tube, a rotor () including a hub () having a shaft () extending from the hub into the bearing, and a oil retaining ring () mounted around the shaft. A slot () is defined in a top end () of the shaft of the rotor near the hub to prevent the escaping oil from continuously creeping out along the shaft. The slot is located between the retaining ring and the bearing. The bearing has a plurality of channels () defined in an outer surface thereof, for guiding the escaping oil to return to an oil reservoir defined in a bottom of the central tube.

A lubricating system for a fan () includes a lubricant storage space () formed at an end portion of the fan for receiving lubricant therein. A lubricant temporary retaining space () is defined at the other end portion of the fan for temporarily retaining the lubricant therein. A lubricant returning space () communicates the lubricant storage space with the lubricant temporary retaining space for enabling the lubricant to flow from the retaining space to the storage space. The returning space is defined in a tube () made of plastic, wherein a bearing () is mounted in the tube and a stator () is mounted around the tube.
