An electrical card () includes an insulative frame () having a pair of detachable side bars () spaced from each other and a transverse bar () assembled onto the side bars to interconnect the side bars; a detachable upper cover () attached to a rear end of the frame; an upper shell () and a lower shell () mounted to an upper side and a lower side of the side bars respectively; a detachable lower cover () attached to the lower shell and disposed beneath the upper cover; a circuit board () supported by the frame and located between the frame and the upper shell; and an electrical connector () attached to a front end of the frame and electrically connected to the circuit board.

A memory card () includes a main body portion () and a rotatable portion () connected by a pair of hinges () to rotate around an axis extending across a width of the memory card. A conductive member () includes a base () retained in the main body portion () to form a SD card interface and an extension () extending beyond the main body portion to form a USB plug interface. The rotatable portion has a slot () and a slider () movably received in the slot. The slider () includes a locking projection () holding a distal end () of the extension at a closed position and sliding away the distal end to expose the second interface at an opened position.

Rotatable memory card with improved locking mechanism

An electrical connector () for mating with a corresponding plug () includes a dielectric housing () defining two contact areas () along an up to down direction. An outer shield () encloses the dielectric housing. A plurality of contacts () are retained in the contact areas. An inner shield () are mounted between two contact areas and comprises a pair of spring arms () extending into the contact area to lock with the plug and a resilient strip () extending into the contact areas to abutting against an outer side of the plug.
