A digital credential is generated for a user device. The digital credential is transmitted to the user device via an optical wireless communication access point (OWC AP). The user device is located in a coverage area of the OWC AP. The digital credential is provided to a wireless local area network (WLAN AP) associated with the OWC AP for authentication of a request from the user device to access the WLAN.

The method may include displaying, while the electronic device is in a locked state, a plurality of guidance lines on the touchscreen of the electronic device, detecting, during an input gesture event, guidance line crossings and calculating a number of guidance line crossings detected during the input gesture event. The method may also include converting a calculated number of detected guidance line crossings into at least one password digit, comparing a sequence of password digits to a stored password in the electronic device and unlocking, in response to comparing the sequence of password digits to the stored password, the electronic device.

A computer implemented method of storing data in at least one mobile node according to mobile node location may include identifying a first qualified mobile node and determining a first geographic position of the first qualified mobile node. The method may include determining a user geographic position of a user device, determining whether the first geographic position is within a first proximity relative to the user device, and causing storage of a first data portion in the first qualified mobile node in response to determining that the first geographic position is within the first proximity.

In response to pressing a first portion of the slide-to-unlock button and sliding the slide-to-unlock button along a specified trace, information about a position of the slide-to-unlock button on the specified trace is displayed on a second portion of the slide-to-unlock button. In response to performing a first action on the pressed first portion of the slide-to-unlock button, information about a position of the slide-to-unlock button on the specified trace when the first action is performed on the first portion of the slide-to-unlock button is received.

Privately unlocking a touchscreen

An electronic device can be unlocked by displaying, while the electronic device is in a locked state, on a touchscreen of the electronic device, line(s) dividing the touchscreen into input regions. Input gestures are detected on the touchscreen, and one of the input regions is identified as an input region containing the starting point of the input gesture. A base number is retrieved corresponding to the identified input region, and a numerical value of a password digit is calculated by using the base number and a numerical value corresponding to the input gesture. A sequence of thus calculated password digits is compared to a password stored within the electronic device, and the electronic device is unlocked following a match between the series of calculated password digits and the stored password.
