An electronic device and volume adjusting method detect ambient light and generate corresponding intensity signals via a sensor. Programs in a storage device, executed by at least one processor, cause the at least one processor to receive and sample light intensity signals and determine whether the ambient light level is changing. Time passing is counted if the ambient light level is changing, until the ambient light level stops changing. The counting of time stops when ambient light level stops changing and the counted time period is compared with a preset time period, a longer time period causes a volume adjusting command to be sent to a playback output device.

Electronic device and method for adjusting volume

An illumination device includes a light sensor, a light-emitting unit, a switch unit and a processing unit. The light sensor is configured for sensing ambient light intensity and providing results based on the sensed light intensity. The switch unit is configured for controlling the electrical connection between the light-emitting unit and a power unit. The processing unit includes a control module and a light adjusting module. The controlling module is configured for turning off the switch unit to cut off the electrical connection between the light-emitting unit and the power unit during the sensing of the light intensity. The light adjusting module is configured for adjusting the brightness of the light-emitting unit according to the results provided by the light sensor. A related method is also provided.

Illumination device capable of adjusting light brightness and method thereof

An electronic device capable of controlling light-emitting diode (LED) bright is provided. The electronic device includes a signal producing unit for producing an operation signal; a Micro Control Unit (MCU) configured for outputting a normal brightness control signal according to the operation signal, and outputting a ultra brightness control signal according to the operation signal when an actual idle time of the electronic device reaches or exceeds a predetermined idle time; a pulse current control unit for controlling an output current according to the normal brightness control and the ultra brightness control signal; and a LED illuminator array for emitting light based on the output current. The MCU terminates the output of the ultra brightness control signal when an actual time of outputting the ultra brightness control signals reaches a predetermined time, and then the LED illuminator array resumes its normally bright. A control method is also provided.

Electronic device capable of controlling LED brightness and method thereof

A light-emitting diode (LED) string is provided. The LED string includes a power plug configured for connecting with a power source to power the LED string; one or more LED sockets configured for electrically connecting with the power plug; one or more LEDs configured for being installed on and electrically connecting with the LED sockets; and a control module configured for being electrically connected with anyone of the LED sockets. The control module includes a control circuit, an input terminal and an output terminal, the control circuit electrically connects with one of the LED sockets via the input terminal and the output terminal and controls a current flowing through the LED string to change from a first value to a second value, thereby controlling the LED string to light.
