A button fixing mechanism for fixing a button () to a base () of an electronic device includes a top panel () of the base, a shelf () attached to the top panel, and a pair of resilient members (). The button includes a pair of shafts () extending outwardly from sidewalls () thereof. The shelf includes an oblong slot () defined therein, and a pair of tabs () extending beside the oblong slot and each defining a pivoting hole () therein. The button is extended through the oblong slot, with the shafts received in the pivoting holes of tabs. The resilient members are separately attached to the top panel and engage two ends of the button.

Button fixing mechanism

A portable computer includes a main body, a retention portion being arranged on the main body with a part thereof spaced apart from the main body, and a fastener for detachably attaching a handle between the main body and the retention portion. A through hole is defined in the retention portion, a through hole is defined in the handle, and a locking aperture is defined in the main body. The fastener includes a hook extending through the through hole of the retention portion, the through hole of the handle, and the locking aperture of the main body. The locking aperture of the main body is not round, so that the fastener is rotatable to a position in which the hook engages with the main body beside an edge of the locking aperture.

The cam member is fixed to the latch member and includes a following portion (). The driving member includes a driving portion engaging () with the following portion to move the latch member. The cover unit is latched to the base unit via the latch members to cover the base unit and unlatched from the base unit via moving the latch member by manipulation of the driving member.

Portable computer having improved latch mechanism

A mounting apparatus for a storage device includes a bracket for receiving the storage device and a base for mounting the bracket therein. A fixing portion including two sidewalls is formed on the base. A hooking recess is defined in one of the sidewalls of the fixing portion. A sliding member is received in the fixing portion for fixing the bracket, and the sliding member includes a hook to engage in the hooking recess of the fixing portion. An elastic member is received in the fixing portion for restoring the sliding member.

A cover mounting assembly includes a button (), a cover (), a locking member () and a base plate (). The cover includes a pair of hooks (). The locking member includes a lockpin (). The locking member is attached with the button on the opposite surfaces of the cover to slide forward or rearward together. The base plate includes an opening () and a pair of slots (). The cover is received in the opening of the base plate and the hooks are received in the slots of the base plate respectively. The lockpin of the locking member abuts against the internal surface of the base plate to fasten the cover to the base plate.
