An apparatus for mounting an attachment structure (such as an EOT) to a railroad coupler includes a base, a locking member (J-hook), a bolt and one or more spring elements. The base includes a mounting portion for the attachment structure and a sleeve insertable through the attachment structure. The base, the J-hook and the bolt cooperate such that the J-hook is rotated from an unlocked position to a locked position by torque applied via the bolt head. Consequently, the J-hook shaft is pulled inside the sleeve and the J-hook aligns with a clamp face of the base to clamp a portion of the coupler therebetween. Responsive to the applied torque, the one or more spring elements are compressed to allow mechanical engagement between a first surface and a second surface, producing a mechanical torque opposing the applied torque, which reduces axial forces on the J-hook.

A gate retraction device is provided to return a crossing gate arm to a home position. The gate retraction device comprises a frame to hold a gate pivot pin that is configured to provide a bi-directional rotation of the crossing gate arm. The gate retraction device further comprises a main pivot assembly that receives the gate pivot pin on one end so as to enable rotation of the main pivot assembly in a horizontal plane. The main pivot assembly comprises a first side and a second side opposite of the first side and wherein the main pivot assembly further comprises a spring pin extending on the first side and the second side of the main pivot assembly. The gate retraction device further comprises a spring-loaded assembly trapped against the spring pin of the main pivot assembly as the main pivot assembly rotates.

A terminal block for use with a railroad terminal board may include a terminal block body comprising first and second sides, a plurality of first connection posts extending from the first side of the body, and a second connection post extending from the second side of the body. The second connection post may be connected to one of the plurality of first connection posts. The second connection post may be configured to mount the terminal block to the railroad terminal board. The terminal block body may include a single hole extending through the first and second sides and configured to accept a mounting screw for mounting the terminal block to the railroad terminal board.

A mounting assembly for mounting a wall mounted air conditioner (AC) unit on a railway instrument house is provided. The mounting assembly may include a house wall including an outer metal shell layer, a middle insulation layer and an inner plywood layer. The mounting assembly may further include a threaded part coupled to the outer metal shell layer. The threaded part is configured to receive an AC mounting hardware of the wall mounted air conditioner (AC) unit to secure the wall mounted air conditioner (AC) unit to the house wall such that the threaded part enables the wall mounted air conditioner (AC) unit to be installed or removed from outside of the railway instrument house. The mounting assembly may further include an AC unit cage for protecting the wall mounted air conditioner (AC) unit. The AC unit cage has at least two side doors and a front door such that each side door of the at least two side doors is locked within the front door by corresponding bolts or a quick lock. The AC unit cage is configured for mounting on the house wall.

A terminal block, terminal board and terminal board assembly for terminating and testing railroad wires. The terminal block comprises a plurality of through-posts, allowing wiring and other components to be attached on posts on first and/or second sides of the terminal block. A surge protection component, control test link, and first wiring may be pre-installed on one side of the terminal block and terminal board, providing for quick installation prior to installing the terminal board assembly in the field. The through-posts also simplify the mounting of the terminal block to the terminal board, and the grounding for the terminal board.

A terminal board is part of a terminal board assembly for terminating and testing of railroad wires. The board includes a first terminal block with a front post and a back post installed on a plane, along with a plurality of terminal blocks with front posts. A control test link, with an insulating material lining one of three holes, is installed on the front posts of terminal blocks. A test nut, connectable to the front post of the first terminal block, has a face with a depression formed therein to contact the test link when installed on the front post of the first terminal block over the insulating material. First wiring is attached on the plane's front, and second wiring is terminated on the plane's back. A surge protection component and the control test link are pre-installed on the front of the plane, providing for easy removal.
