A terminal registers with a first cell, which is a long term evolution LTE cell. If a new radio secondary cell group (NR SCG) is established after registering with the first cell, the terminal displays a 5G network icon, and the terminal displays the 5G network icon after the NR SCG is deleted. If a NR SCG is not established after registering with the first cell, the terminal displays a 4G network icon.
